Had lunch and it was excellent, good service also.
Great food Great Price Great People
Angelo’s has arguably one of the best pizzas in town. The Pasta La Rosa is an amazing pasta dish with a blend of Alfredo and Marinara sauces. Their salad is simply devine and the toasted cheese bread with pepperoni is highly recommended. Their new place allows for more seating which is a welcome change from the old place and service was terrific as always.
Called into Angelo’s for pizza for my fiancés bday. The girl on the phone was so sweet, she asked if I had ever had Angelo’s before and I had but also told her that my fiancés favorite food is pizza and has never had Angelo’s and I wanted to get him the best pizza in town for his bday. When I showed up, I was surprised by them writing “Happy Birthday” on our pizza box and also sweet bday stuff on the box to the cannolis and the tiramisu!! My fiancé was beyond surprised and excited…his face lit up as he said “That is so nice” he also said “Babe! This is the best pizza I have ever had!” I said “I know!!, I told you!!” The deluxe pizza was to die for and so were the deserts!! Thank you so much Angelo’s for the amazing pizza/deserts and also for the sweet bday messages, he really felt so special!
Nostalgic and authentic. Italy is close to home again. We'd eaten at Angelo's years ago, but not at the new location yet. Wife's birthday took care of that. She had the 2 sleeves cheese cannelloni and I got the Italian sausage with meat sauce and fettuccine. Both choices were excellent. We also had the pizza bianco for an appetizer. That alone was very good. Service was good and attentive to drinks. The atmosphere is ok, the place is a bit small for the amount of business they seem to entertain. This is the third time we'd gone to eat there, the other times the wait was more than an hour. To me the most important piece of Italian food is the sauce and Angelo's sauce is my favorite in Wichita. We will definitely go back.
This restaurant has recently moved to this location that has given them much more parking and more seating. They have a prominent lighted sign for the restaurant on Central, but the main entrance is actually located at the back of the restaurant. We arrived around 6:30 PM on a Tuesday evening and had to wait around 15 minutes to be seated since there was no hostess and the server got busy and forgot about us. We had eaten at the original Angelos (many years ago - before they closed) as well as the new Angelos at its previous location just 7 blocks west of where they are nowadays, and we had always enjoyed their pizza. I normally order their beef pizza but tonight my wife and I decided to split their Deluxe pizza. We ordered a medium Deluxe ($25.35), and we could only finish half as it was piled high with sausage, beef, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and black olives (we substituted olives for the green peppers). Unfortunately, it was quite salty which we did not care for. We will give them the benefit of the doubt and will try them again. The service was slow as my large water glass was empty for quite a while before it was refilled. We noticed lots of people ordering side salads ($5.95) which were served with a basket of assorted crackers.
Best Pizza Ever!! Wish the location was better to get too.
It is always a treat to eat at Angelo’s! Best lasagna anywhere, hands down! The Limoncello marscapone cake is superb. The garlic toast is the best and the Zeppies are out of this world!!! Combine all the food with the great Staff and you have the best restaurant to eat at, in my opinion!!!!! The pizza is truly what I call Wichita style pizza, better than any Johnny come lately!!! I almost forgot the house Italian salad, I love it!
The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the large portions you receive. The wait was about 45 minutes, which wasn't bad considering it's a smaller place and it was Valentine's weekend. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, and even boxed up some of our leftovers for us.
