Unique, modern and great customer service. For all of my bros out there, this is an excellent first date location. 5 out of 5.
We had a large group in last night for a book club! Thank you so much for accommodating our group! We enjoyed the wine and yummy food. We had a great time!
This is such a fun concept and we enjoyed tasting their many wines for a girl’s night out. I love that you can pay for the prepaid card and try as many or as few of the wines as you want, in 3 different sized pours that you get to dispense yourself. I’ve never tried anything like this - definitely a unique concept for Wichita. The staff is great too. Shout out to Kallan for great service! Will definitely be back!
LOVE this place. What a great place to meet a group of friends to have some amazing wines, just enough food and amazing conversations. You can actually HAVE conversations here. I tasted a couple wines last night that I have never had the opportunity to taste. I had a 1oz pour of Papillon - A M A Z I N G! I didn’t need to purchase an entire bottle. I actually had a taste of 4 different wines I have never had before. It felt like I was at a grown up Starbucks. Thank you for your attention to detail. I would love to have this to go to in Dallas. The service was top notch.
My husband surprised me with a date night out. Such a wonderful time. Great food. Tried two wines (one from Italy and one from Australia). Large selection of wines from all over. Friendly staff and great atmosphere!
They use a prepaid card system that forces you to spend in increments in ten dollars, yet the cost of the wine is in different increments. For example, one glass is $9.30, so if you purchased this twice it would come to $18.60. If they just charged you per glass, that would be what you were charged but the card system manipulates you into paying $20.00. This is independent from any gratuities, so it is a manipulative way for the owner to increase ticket averages. In addition, the owner is extremely rude and condescending. She informed me that no vaping was allowed, which is completely understandable. I only take issue with the manner in which she asked me. There are polite ways to do things and this wasn't it. I felt very much like she was talking down to me; enough so to write this review. This has been my Ted Talk, thanks for coming!Edit: Changed from 1 to 3 stars because the owner apologized and seemed sincere. I'm still not likely to return.
Just got told I could not park my bike here to spite that me and a pal were hoping to enjoy wine. Making a city walkable and bikeable means when a patron want to get to your place 30 minutes early you allow it and when on a bike - lame- heading down the road to a place more friendly
We visited Alzavino over the weekend. The atmosphere was comfortable and the charcuterie was enjoyable. However, when we went to pay, our server could not remember how many times she had refilled one of our cards. She also could not tell us the balance after I requested it several times. (She kept referencing the balance of a card that was not in dispute.) It was NOT about the money for us, but about the principle. If this is your business model, you HAVE to know what you've put on the cards. To resolve this, Alzavino stuck us with a higher bill anyway....then happily shared that we could use the balance on the card another time. *ahem* Obviously, we were heavily disappointed in this approach, as we are not locals. Further, be aware that any money on your cards will NOT be reimbursed when you get your check. You're either paying for wine you don't drink, or else leaving an automatic tip if you leave a balance on the card. Feels a bit greedy to not just true up the balance when the check comes.
Great people and great wine. The menu is great and pairs well with wine tasting!
Great experience! The wine “on-tap” was excellent, the staff was so helpful, and the prices were more than reasonable. Donna and Damon were particularly awesome! Will certainly be going again.
