The food was SO good. I had the Grande Burrito with con Carne sauce. It was so huge, I have plenty left over for dinner tonight! There was a little hiccup when my bf ordered steak nachos and got ground beef instead. But they made it right, and he had plenty of food and he said it was good as well.The service was great, our server was Riley and she was very friendly and cheerful! We enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere is great and the people very friendly.
Dreadful, absolutely dreadful. 300 pound waitress with dirty jeans. Waited 40 minutes for food, fish and veggies arrived stone cold. Asked for replacement dish, got big argument from “manager” who scarcely spoke English. 20 minutes more wait, was presented with “doggie bag” container of tired fish, half the size of the original cold plate. Told manager to “go away, I don’t want to argue with you,” but insistence of standing at the table and arguing. “Write Corp management if you no like!” “Will do,” hope they understand that it’s unpleasant arguing with an abrasive fellow who doesn’t fully understand the language. Dreadful place, under-staffed, rude third-world management. Stay away!
Since the one in KC closed, we have to wait until we go to Wichita, which has only been about 5 times in my life.... The last 2 times was specifically to eat at Abuelo's.Yes, we like it enough to drive an hour just to eat there.My wife and I have not had anything bad there, and their salsa choices are excellent. The fire roasted and green salsa's are the cats pj's.
Food was good, drinks were great. Service was okay. While our server was courteous, he tended to chat with his friends at the table beside us for much longer than he should have when he had customers waiting for drinks, then apps, then food. Otherwise we had a rather enjoyable time.
I absolutely LOVE the food and you really get a good quantity for the price. However, I have to mark this a 3 ? only because of the waitress we had. Unfortunately I don't know her name but she almost spilled salsa everywhere because she slammed down the bowl, she didn't check on us and we were out of drinks, she just seemed stressed. I still gave a tip because I know from experience that waitresses live mainly off of tips but she definitely did NOT deserve one.

Service was slow at first. They were pretty busy so it was understandable. Waitress didn't seem to be having a good evening at first. Once we ordered she seemed to loosen up and made are visit very pleasant. However the food came out and they had messed up and forgot the 10 oz steak that was part of the order. Also some of the other dishes meat was almost burnt. Had a wierd flavor.
Wow incredible experience once again! This is my second time here. Definitely by far the best Mexican restaurant in the Midwest and I eat a lot of Mexican food and travel throughout the USA. Best Mexican food of the 12 states I’ve been thru this season.See posted photos. Food so delicious you can’t stop eating and every bite is savored.Also —- I must comment that the customer service was also the best I have experienced in probably a year of any food service. I ordered take out and the moment I got to the bar, 2 people came up to me (one the first 10 seconds and the second one 10 seconds later) to check on the food. The bartender (evening shift) she was also amazing.Thanks and looking forward to coming back many many times!

My husband took me there to eat today for my birthday and we were blown away with the food! It was fenominal. It was fresh and delicious. The service was great. And it was a nice clean atmosphere. We will definitely be back again ? thank you to the restaurant team you are all amazing and keep up the good work!
