A variety of good food and a decent beer selection. Average prices. Seat yourself when you walk in. Lots of room for large parties, there's even a dedicated party room if that's what you need. Outdoor seating on the patio is also available. Great place to go with family and friends after spending a day doing activities at nearby lake Shawnee.
on multiple occasions my order has been messed up. I ordered the grilled chicken entree and received one piece of chicken when the menu stated 2. the waitress argued with me until she brought back a menu and realized she was wrong. they offered to cook me another piece of chicken I declined because I had already waited over 30 minutes for someone to come back to my table. in that time I did not have a drink refill. I did receive a gift certificate and utilized it a few weeks later. however, when we went tonight I ordered the grilled chicken entree with no side but a bowl of the loaded potato soup. when I got my food I had smothered chicken and my soup had no sour cream, no green onions and I had no spoon. she went and got some sour cream and they put about five green onion slices on the top of my soup so I asked for more.... I waited on the waitress to come back and she apologized for her mistake. but she clearly wrote down grilled chicken and not smothered chicken, so that was a kitchen mistake. she asked if I wanted them to re-cook the chicken and I declined her offer because I had lost my appetite pretty much at that time, still waiting on my spoon. my son ordered Mac and cheese as his side and it was not tasty at all. so he swapped for fries. they did take my chicken entree off my order and I did speak to the manager... who happened to be the bartender and she is also the waitress that argued with me over the chicken breast, not the manager I spoke with on a previous occasion. it seems like everyone was worried about what was on the TV above the bar and talking with each other instead of tending to patrons. I do feel bad for the waitress as she was new and the back of kitchen is really slacking and that falls on her! I have had good service there a few times when ordering the loaded fries or quesadillas, which was good. but with the service that I received today on top of other occasions is enough for me to not want to go back.

Wasn’t impressed. Granted we came in with a group of about 20 due to an event across the street, but on a weekend during lunch I’d think they’d have the staff. We had an hour and 15 to eat, but 3 people had to get theirs in a to-go box because our tune was up. Food I tried was mediocre. Pulled pork sandwich was dry and blah. Reuben sandwich was dripping in grease, which I don’t understand. The meat was just slices like out of an Oscar Meyer package they didn’t even bother to try and separate the slices. Had onion rings as a side, there were maybe 6 mini rings… Compared to fries that filled up half a plate. It was convenient but next time we’ll go somewhere else. Chicken tenders and burgers should be all on their menu.

I've been there twice since the change of the business to Thunderbird. The food is good. The service, not so much. I went in last night on a Sunday evening, and not one server stopped to take our order. The bartender was the one that ended up giving us service the time we where there. Thank goodness for the bartender. The servers need better training. I don't believe in split tips. When one does most of the work.
They serve has good comfort food. I had the chicken fried steak. It eas good sized and tasted great. The service was good. They had pretty of room for our group of 6. We will be back.
I'm so excited to see a food joint on the Southeast side of Topeka. Fun place to go hang out with family and friends, have a few beers and watch a game or something. I've tried dinner here twice, and I'm just not a fan. Burgers and pizza seem fine, but I wouldn't order anything else.
Oh wow!!! Absolutely delicious food! The cinnamon rolls are divine! Loved the tender crispy pork tenderloin and the pulled pork sandwich is huge! The staff (Matt) was super friendly and very patient, he was awesome. I will definitely be back and yes you need to come here! Definitely ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Paid $6 for Mac and cheese. Got home and it measured out to 1/3 of a cup. Container was small enough, the least they could do is fill it up. The Ruben was soggy with not one drop of thousand island dressing. But the fries were piping hot and over cooked. Gotta say, $22.80 for these items was WAY out of line tonight. Could have had a steak dinner at a steakhouse for that. Boooooo
