Food was good. My wife and family had never eaten @ here or even seen one since they aren't in our area. The food was what you would expect, but the customer service was top notch. You have to use a kiosk to order but I saw an employee help a few customers and even walked an elderly women through the process and made the adjustments so she could have a Patty Melt liked she use to order. We were a group of 7 (2 adults and 5 kiddos) that had been on the road for over 2 weeks and 5000 miles and the staff dealt with my kiddos and kept asking if we needed anything. If I didn't live 8 hours away I would go again.
I am so disappointed in the changes. It is more expensive and now we have to do all the work. No waitresses, order at a kiosk, self serve drinks, and bus our own tables. Less employees also meant it went super slow. I love steak n shake but this will be our last trip
LOVE this place. It’s very cheap and very good. Diner style food and decor. Burgers are great and the shoestring fries are as well. Prices have gone up a bit but still much cheaper than typical fast food and WAY better. We got two meals, additional side of large onion rings and 2 shakes with add ins for about $30 including tax. Plus, of course you get the many shake options as well. The only thing I didn’t like was the paper straws for the shakes. I get that they’re eco friendly, but I hate it against my teeth and they collapse. My son had to get a second straw to finish his shake. I’ll definitely be back!
We got to the restaurant with a part of 15. They were rude from the get-go. The hostess was huffy and seemed to be annoyed that we had such a large group. Then they pointed to our table and said, “that’s where you’re sitting.” Nobody even said hi or anything welcoming. We waited for at our table patiently and when someone finally came, she very rudely said, “if she’s. It going to help you then I guess I am.”We excused ourselves and left. We won’t be back.
I haven't had Steak and Shake since I was a kid. I remember the hot and juicy burgers and the small sized fries and the great Fanta orange! It was still tasty though the bun ans the fries were not as hot it still brought back memories.
The waitress that helped us Saturday afternoon 5/7/22 was exceptional! She took care of me and my family. I appreciate good service. The food was good and she (waitress) received a nice tip!

Never again will we step foot in this place. Filthy dirty and we were only customers. 5 employees ...2 playing with each other's hair. No gloves handling food. Both our orders were incomplete. How hard is it to make a single burger with mustard and pickle??? Apparently, hard. No mustard. Onion rings were cold. American cheese on patty melt and no onions. Sauce was so thick, it oozed out everywhere. Waitress was the only glowing personnel who seemed to care. This plave is not worth your trouble. Yuck...eewww
This place used to be one of my favorites. It has gone downhill for the past couple of years. The menu has been cut down to basically 8 or 9 items, and they have dramatically cut down on portion sizes.Such a shame
Burgers were good. Shake was fine. Staff was a lot clueless, but that's what ya get during a worker shortage. I don't know what chili mac is supposed to be, but it was nothing like we imagined. It was ketchup on spaghetti. I just feel like they should be honest about that.
