Can't believe I haven't been here until now. I pass by a lot, but just thought it was another chain. Today, my 5-year old wanted to try it. What a pleasant surprise! Tilapia sandwich with truffle fries, and a grasshopper concrete to finish.The tilapia was a very generous portion of fish, battered crispy and fried hot, juicy, and with a flaky delicious texture. It's topped with a homemade slaw and sandwiches between toasted buttery buns. This isn't your normal fast food fish sandwich. The owner was very proud of this sandwich, as she should be.The truffle fries were good, but weren't the best I've had. They are a nice change in pace from regular fries, for sure. Truffle flavor is subtle, but there. They're lightly seasoned, and I think most people will enjoy them. I personally prefer more salt, but my tastes are saltier than most. So take my opinion... With a grain of salt. The Burger Stand in Lawrence is where I've enjoyed truffle fries the most. We have one in Topeka, which comes pretty close.The grasshopper concrete was so good! The ice cream was the perfect temperature for enjoying right away. There's the right amount of mint flavor, the crisp Oreo cookies, and bits of chocolate that makes this an easy dessert to enjoy.We were very impressed at this place. The owner and staff were very polite and attentive. We are very glad to have stopped in and will be back to try their other offerings!
Hands down best chocolate shake I’ve ever had. They are so smooth and not too chocolatey. They also give you a nice fat straw. I get a chocolate shake every time I am on that side of Topeka. The royal turtle is also amazing.
Atmosphere was noted by my teenage son! Love this place and it's ability to maintain a standard that has never faulted.
Great tasting everything. But.... Prices for all their items are very high. I can't believe they've stayed in business all this time with their prices being so high. Yes, their items are delicious, but, who gets to treat themselves that often to something so high priced??
Thought we would try Sheridan's today instead of going to G's Frozen Custard. Should have stuck with G's. We just got vanilla so can't judge them on all of their add ins but the vanilla custard was runny and really not very flavorful or rich. We were sitting inside since it's so HOT outside today but within probably 3 to 4 minutes the custard was total liquid.
Sooo many custard options!!My Veteran Dad wanted custard and told me to try this place.It took me awhile to read the menu ? many delicious options. Custard shakes, Sundays, cones, and malts.They do have food such as hot dogs, hamburgers and such.The staff was very friendly and efficient.I ordered the small vanilla shake with peanut butter. Delicious would recommend for people wanting their peanut butter fix.My Dad ordered a small strawberry chocolate shake. He finished his in less then 10 minutes. One happy customer. ?Over all I enjoyed my custard and will be happy to go back for more!Family friendly ❤Staff friendly and great food.~Cecilia
The service was fantastic! So positive, courteous, and uplifting at the walk up window. The tilapia sandwich and truffle fries were delicious! ? Thank you for the all around nice break in my day!
I went here for the first time the other night and was very disappointed. First, my sister and I received our five custards within the first two minutes of ordering only for them to sit and melt while we waited for another approximately 20 minutes to receive our food. Waiting the approximate 20 minutes would have been fine if it would have been worth the wait. However, this was not the case. After receiving our food that had been cooked in old grease (which was visually apparent as well as tasted as such) the manager caught an attitude when I informed him why we did not want the food. He ended up refunding us for the food, however, tried to make us pay full price for the melted custard, which was tasty. Needless to say, I will not be trying this place again.
Took my kids for the first time last week and it was AMAZING! I'd love to know what is in the red pepper sauce on their chicken sandwiches!
We had a group of 14 and went inside. The group was no problem for the lady behind the counter. Everyone ordered something different and all were correct. She even delivered them to our tables. Very enjoyable.
