Wow! A hidden treasure right by the RV park. It is worth getting off the interstate to eat here: brisket, pulled pork and tasty moist smoked turkey. The combo deal gives you 1/2 pound of meat- wow! Note: right now Lonnie has no ribs due to quality and supply issues but they will return! The cheesy potatoes were delicious. Ample parking. We will be back.
I was driving west and wanted to get some Kansas BBQ on the way. I couldn't stop in Kansas City timewise, so I went here.Stood in line for half an hour at 11:15am.I ordered the brisket sandwich (only - no sides) and was disappointed that the bun was stale, and the meat was extremely salty, albeit tender.I am disappointed.
We were traveling cross country and read the Trip Advisor reviews. Knowing that we would be cutting it close to the 1pm closing time, I called to make sure they hadn’t sold out! We were in luck and enjoyed an awesome lunch. The brisket, turkey and pork were awesome- hard to pick a favorite ❤️ The owner and his wife said they would have waited for us knowing we were traveling. What a delightful meal and awesome service. Thank you!
Best BBQ in Northeastern Kansas and maybe all of Kansas and is open again for inside dining. Lonnie is always in an upbeat mood, one of the most pleasant people I know
I would assert that this place has the best bbq inside an rv park... Truthfully, i have not found better bbq in Topeka. I was very impressed with the food, and the service was fast and friendly as well.
We've been eating at Lonnie's before it became known as Lonnie's Q's BBQ...when it was part of the Harley Davidson shop at 21st in KS. At least 17 years ago...before my 1st baby was born. We have ALWAYS had amazing food! No complaints ever! Tonight was the best we've ever had...Keeps getting better ?Thank you Lonnie Q!
Tasty bbq in a nice setting. The service was outstanding and the brisket and pork were yummy. The restaurant was clean with a good bathroom. Ample parking.

Lonnie’s menu is limited. Smoked brisket, turkey and pulled pork sandwiches . Sides are baked beans, coleslaw and “cheesy” potatoes. Everything is great. Hours are also very limited. Monday thru Friday, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. They have ribs on Thursday and Friday. They usually run out of ribs. Expect to wait in line but, believe me, your patience will be rewarded
Long time fans-decided to order for dad’s outdoor 80th bday party. Everything was AH-MAZING! The brisket was melt in your mouth delicious. Coleslaw was fresh and light. Cheesy taters were gone in a flash. Dad went back for 2nds of everything-which he never does. Thanks, Lonnie!
