Found this drive in on our road trip and was quite impressed! Cheap menu items, fresh made burgers and fries, nostalgic diner feel. Small dining room available for dine in, or drive up in your car and they will come out and serve you at your car. Staff was friendly and didn’t rush us out as we finished our meal just before closing. Great place to stop if you’re in Topeka!
This a place the locals love because it's been here so long. I am already not a fan of the style of burger the serve, think steak and shake, but I went anyway with family. The food is absolutely as bland and flavorless as can be. It was like the somehow removed flavor from the steak burgers. I usually prefer my food without condiments but I had to but catch up on to even have any flavor at all.
An authentic 1960s drive in. My husband loved his chopped steak burger. I found it dry. We shared an order of onion rings that were fabulous! Service was just amazing. Friendly, down-home, neighborly. If we lived in Topeka, this would be a regular stop, although I'd probably choose the fish sandwich.
The wait can be a little long sometimes and it's more pricy than fastfood joints, but the food is worth it. I've always been satisfied with my order. Plus they have home-made root beer.
This place is exactly what we expected and hoped for when we stopped. I just wanted to get a burger after a long drive and didn't want a chain. I wanted to make sure I ate exactly what I didn't need but wanted. The burger was the perfect amount of grease and flavor but not soggy. The chili cheese fries were great also, I would have liked to try the onion rings, but I can only eat so much. I will definitely eat there again anytime we are in the area.
I visit Bobo's each year I come to Topeka for the annual Kansas Silent Film Festival. Love the old-style diner and drive-in atmosphere, the food is great, and the service is friendly!! Long-time waitress, Linda, is always wonderful to see! ??
WOW we found reviews that sparked our interest and so we tried it. My wife and I will make sure we become regular customers when we are going through Topeka. I have eaten a Bobo's dozens of times and it's never disappointed. These are elite hamburgers, the best I've eaten in Topeka and one of the very best I've had anywhere. Onion rings are great as is the pie. Service is exceptional. One of the best places to eat anywhere.
Classic place. Awesome burgers, shakes, fries, onion rings, pie, you name it. My family is from KC and it is totally worth the drive. We love your food!
The burgers are absolutely delicious. I've been to a lot of burger joints in my 57 years on the planet and this place is in my top 3. I don't know what else to say but if you get within 10 miles of this place and you don't make a detour....you have missed one of the best burgers you'll ever have!
