This place used to be our go-to pick-up location during Covid times as they had great steak and salmon at a reasonable price. Unfortunately the last two times we've ordered, the quality of our food has dropped drastically and the price, as everything else, has gone way up. Last night for our anniversary dinner I ordered the Ribeye rare with broccoli because the last time I ordered medium rare I got between medium and well done. My steak was blue rare and I had to sear it myself once getting home to make it edible. My broccoli was also still not completely cooked and I ordered a side of sweet potatoes fries and received about 20 fries for $4 (The Ribeye used to be select two sides and is now only one being one of the most expensive things on the menu which is crazy to me as my gf's salmon that costs less still gets two sides). I called in to talk to a manager and was put on hold for over 5 mins before I gave up and just hung up and cooked my meal to eat. Probably won't be back after paying $70+ to prepare my own pick-up meal. Very disappointed.
Great food, but the service is what really made this a 5-star experience. Very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and they were especially welcoming to our toddler. They even brought out a snack plate for him while we waited for our entrées. It just made the while dinner more enjoyable. We plan on coming back soon!
This is a neat local hangout. Food was really good and the atmosphere was fun.
Really neat, clean restaurant! Nice bar side and restaurant side, and 2 great patio areas each with shaded space and a TV. They had a great menu with a good variety along with a whole seperate sheet of daily lunch specials which we all ordered off of. I got the OMG burger that had bacon and pulled pork on it. My wife had lasagna, and daughter had the lefty salad. All dishes were wonderful! Sweet tea was very good, and service was excellent. Will definitely come back here when in town. I so wish I had room for dessert because the daily cheesecake was chocolate covered peanut butter cheesecake.
Three of us enjoyed our lunch at Nick and Jake's on a Wednesday afternoon after the lunch hour.I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, without the bun, and added Swiss cheese and mushrooms. My side was french fries. It was delicious, very tender with great flavor. ?One of our guest ordered a reuben sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. They said it was extremely good and really enjoyed it.?Our third guest ordered the cheeseburger-cooked to medium doneness, with a side of french fries. Plenty juicy and flavorful. They thoroughly enjoyed their meal as well.We had excellent service and the restaurant was noticeably clean.We all had water to drink, so I can't comment on their drinks.I had not used the restroom, so I can't comment on its cleanliness, but I appreciated that each table had a pump type bottle of hand sanitizer to use before we ate.I would highly recommend this Nick and Jake's in Shawnee. A wonderful dining experience.
I went with about 10 people and we were there almost right as they opened for the day. Everyone was so nice and the waitress was so kind. Food was quick and delicious. I got the fried chicken salad with buttermilk ranch.
Excellent food and drink options. Great service. Expected and posted prices. I enjoyed drinks after work with several coworkers then had a nice date inside. Great environment. Inspired drink menu. Just enough beer options. Can't comment on wine. Hard to find a place this part of town that is good but not over crowded
We love this place. Several locations, and we have literally never had a bad meal here. Pear Pollo Chickens salad is amazing. They also have prime rib sandwiches on Mondays that are life changing. Jalapeno Cheesy Grits are a solid choice as well. Again literally everything on the menu is great.
Sat at the bar before going to a show. Mixed drinks were 'strong'. Food was good and came out pretty quickly. Plenty of TVs to watch as a sports bar.
