My mother and I were at McAlister's today. It took an hour to go through the line just to give our order . I understand they were busy and we were told why. I don't really have much of a problem with that but my mom got her order and 30 minutes later I still did not have my cold sandwich. So I got it to go. When I got home I did not have anything like what I ordered. I ordered a McAlester club wrap with no tomato and no honey mustard add mayo. What I ended up with was a McAlester club sandwich with mayo tomato and a lot of honey mustard. As well. They were out of Turkey so they substitute double ham. I understand being busy but that was a lot of mistakes made on one order
Unfortunately, this was not a great experience. But it wasn’t for lack of friendliness or cleanliness or even food quality. Everyone seemed to be friendly and there were plenty of staff members milling around, but only one person taking orders . She did a great job and was very patient with answering questions of the guy in front of us. But after more than 10 minutes of waiting and having someone else join the line behind us and genuinely no sign of the waiting coming to an end, we had to leave. I made pleading eye contact with the manager who was sitting at a computer and even another associate who also seemed to have authority, but to no avail. I didn’t want to make the guy ordering feel bad, but not the manager, nor the 5 other associates thought to a. Start up another register and assist or b. Communicate that setting up another register was not possible for whatever reason. So after 10-15 minutes of waiting, we just left. I give them an F for customer service because no one took initiative to look at how long customers had been waiting and rectify the situation.
Fresh and good. Spicy southwest sandwich was great and mac and cheese was what you'd expect. Potato spud was perfect
Pretty good prices, got the new steak and white chedder sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl. It was half sandwich, half soup for $8.95. The sandwich portion was kinda small, but the breadbowl was large and filling! Love their large dine in area! I got tea which was great, HUGE CUPS!
(see important UPDATE at end)- here is the original review -Normally I give McAlister's a 5 star rating. Not today. I ordered take out, and proceeded to sit in the waiting area for take-out.After a while it seemed a lot longer than it should have been, I got up and walked over to the far side of the ordering counter and saw 4 takeout orders. While looking, one if the servers asked if I was Tom, I said yes, and she pushed the bag towards me. I asked why she didn't call me. She said she did. I pointed out where people wait for orders and that her voice couod not be heard over there. She acted incredulous, as though it didn't matter.Another person followed me to find that her order was also ready for some time. The food is good and delivery to tables is fine but beware if you order take out. This person was either untrained, didn't care, or both.- End of Original Review -UPDATEHere is an update. I now have returned my 5 star rating for this McAlister's. They have assured me that the problem I experienced is fixed and that they will announce takeout orders properly in the future. The company's quick response, clear apology, and desire to improve are testaments to first rate principles in action.
Always have a good lunch or dinner here. Staff are great. Even though my kids cookie was missed on the meal they made up to it by giving him 3 cookies. Mom and Dad had to take one for themselves.
To go orderQuick and delicious. Love the menu. I was missing grilled chicken in the salad that I ordered and I believe I was charged for it... but other than that it was terrific.
I love the menu here! You can get sandwiches of all kinds, salads, dessert, regular chili, turkey chili, ...and macaroni and cheese. There are vegetarian choices. You can go as simple as a grilled cheese sandwich if you like. There is never a great wait. And the server cleans up empty plates as you go along. Clean, comfortable dining area. I love the Lemonade/tea as my choice of drink!! The salads are a nice portion and can be shared by two easily! The lettuce is always fresh, and the presentation of the food is very appetizing! Great place for a family to have lunch/brunch.
Super disappointed ordered a club tray sandwich plater arrived the manager advised me they had boxes them when I clearly ordered a platter also I made a note to add honey mustard & ranch & mayo that requested was completely ignored when I called & ck in for curbside the girl that answered the phone ask for my name 3/4 times so I got off for my order noticed she had feet up and was scrolling thur her cell phone no wonder she ask for my name 3/4 times if i ever order again will go to a different location this one was a completely a bust !!!!!!!
This place DOES NOT do curbside. They say on the website they do and they have the signs but they will not bring the food to you. We waited 30 minutes after informing the store we had arrived just to go in and see they placed the order in the pick up section. Our food was soggy by the time we got home.
