Watching the trains on the tracks overhead was fun, even for seniors! The kids smiles and delight was worth going. The food was served warm coming down to the table from an automated bucket. The waiter was attentive to our needs.

The food is decent and not overpriced. Our son is such a big fan of trains, that when we are near Kansas City, we make a point to go. He loves watching the trains drive around and drop off food.
Kids (and adults) loved watching the trains delivering meals to neighboring tables and then to ours. We've been traveling all over the U.S. and I haven't seen this ideas replicated anywhere. A truly unique experience with good food at affordable prices. I highly recommend a visit!
We have been here several times for lunch or dinner, and food has always been great. We stopped for breakfast the other day though and this is easily one of the best places for breakfast. Everything tasted fantastic and they were good sized portions. Servers brought food instead of the train delivering breakfast, probably because the plates were too big for that. Kids got a kick out of the jelly and syrup coming via train though.

If you're looking for a hamburger, that's what they have most. I didn't realize their hamburger was the size of a McDonald's small one. Initially when we came in, a gentleman was doing something with the cash register. The young lady was cleaning the window glass. Finally, the gentleman asked her, "Are you gonna get these people?" She said, "Gimme a second.", continuing to ignore us as well as a customer who was holding a child. She walked past us to seat him, not one word to us. I'll be right with you or anything. She didn't come back. If you're looking for a peaceful indoor dining experience, this is not the place to go. Loud out of control children. Loud train up above delivering food. Our food finally showed up, but no one brought our drinks. We had to go ask. This was my first time there. I'm sure children would love the train and all ofthat. I don't know if they have adult sized hamburgers, but the ones we ordered weren't all that great anyway. Loved the fried mushrooms, but they were just a side at $4.
The kids will get a kick out of the telephone and train, and so will you. If you like old-fashioned greasy burgers, Fritz's is where to go. The Crown Center location is fine, but the location in Shawnee is better.My rec: Order a triple burger - patties are small - with cheese. Tater ties and a root beer float.
