Took the time to read some of the reviews. And that's the same experience we had during our visit. NOT GOOD!! The short fat guy at the counter is a fastnesses troll of a server. The store was not clean and sticky. I promise if the HEALTH DEPARTMENT checked up on the store they will have a full page of violations. The food we tried was old and not good.Looking forward to THE REOPENING OF JOY WALK.
Me and the wife come here often. It's the best buffet hands down from Wy, Jo , Roe, Op county's. They have the best chicken on stick, egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and any chicken sauce even got my personal favorite that no other Chinese restaurant has or that I've encountered the honey chicken. Its pricey for dinner meals cause of all the sea food and fish items but it's well worth it IMO.
Not the worst American Chinese buffet in the metro area. The selection was comprehensive and easy to move about the buffet tables. The staff was also considerate.However, we went during a nice, steady dinner and many of the food options were stale and overcooked. The beef and broccoli in particular was steamed to nearly the consistency of baby food and the other items were often in a similar state of exhaustion. This was not our first time visiting and I recall this being a recurring issue.
Wide variety of Americanized Chinese food buffet style. Went on a Saturday, they have a hot grill for made to order, sushi prepared in advance, salad bar, small dessert section. Several soups. Lots of choices.Wishing well for decoration. Stagnant water, that's why 4 stars and not 5. That kinda grossed me out. Restaurant was reasonably clean considering how busy it was. Food could have been warmer. Quick to top off drinks. Wait staff has gloves and masks. It's an overall ordinary buffet. Reasonably priced. Would go again.
Food isn't the best here at all. Really bad service. I usually leave a generous tip, but the waiters were rushing me to eat (I'm pregnant so I'm taking my time to let food settle). She was 2-3 feet away from our table watching me eat waiting for me to pay. As soon as my wallet came out she rushed to my table and held her hand out as I'm trying to access my card. Even though I wasn't finished eating. Then she came back and the other waiter came up right after to tell us to sign the receipt, and demanded us to tip when i wasnt even finished eating yet! We couldn't even eat in peace! We weren't even there 30 minutes without them being impatient. I very much appreciate servers, but never have I ever come across service like this. Bad service sure, but never like this. I did not tip and will not come back.
Do not eat here. I watched a 4 year old child put a serving spoon in his mouth and then back in the food. A mother had several children at the buffet all unsupervised. Don't risk it.
Everything I tasted was overcooked the rice was so sticky and gummy it was nasty the stuffed mushrooms were burnt the crab rangoon was not hardly stuffed at all with anything. I stood at my table for a long time trying to get ahold of my waitress with my bill in my hand to pay so I can get out of there it was the worst experience I've ever had at any Chinese restaurant I've been to and I have been to a lot. The decorations of the restaurant it reminds me of being in a school cafeteria no decorations except for when you first walk in the door it was just a major Plain Jane cafeteria look. I definitely would not recommend that restaurant for anybody even people I don't like.
So disappointed came for crab legs but got not one whole 2 hrs i was there with family it never was refilled not once just a empty pan with water and butter. The rest of the buffet was ok and i say that nicely but defiantly had better.
Tried both on weekends and weekdays; loved them both.
What a disappointment. All the crab legs you can eat. That's a joke. They didn't put out enough to feed a handful of customers. Place is filthy. Employees are cold and rude. Can't wait for Joy Wok to open back up.
