The food was so so. I can tell they use good ingredients because the chicken was bright white on the inside. I got General Tsos chicken no complaints there. The egg rolls were fried very dark. I got the egg soup which was a mistake it was very eggy and so thick it was more like jello. Totally inedible with no flavor except egg. I ordered here because this has so many 5 star ratings but maybe they just have great service or a loyal local customer base. I stayed in a nearby hotel and got it door dashed to my room and I wouldn't order again unfortunately. I was in the mood for something nice while I'm traveling but this was 3 star food at best. I can forgive the soup being inedible maybe that's just how they make it and I've had menu misses before its no big deal. But the flavor on the chicken was very mild and the chicken was too chewy. The rice wasn't the freshest it had a stale texture. The croutons that go in the soup were actually stale but the soup was so bad it didn't matter much. They gave me wontons I didn't order with my egg rolls and I don't eat wontons so I ended up throwing a lot of food away with this order. I would order somewhere else if I had the chance again.
Nice little storefront restaurant. Mostly for take out (I have previously). We ate in today at one of the two tables available. Delicious food. Appetizers were vegetable spring rolls and crab Rangoon; both crispy and tasty. Shared Mongolian chicken and general Tso bean curd. Rice was white, fluffy and moist. Hubby commented on how much he enjoyed the crab Rangoon.
chens is slipping fast :( their dinner sizes are now half the size and the food tastes much more bland lately. Inflation perhaps...
This is a very good restaurant of its type. There is a large menu of American favorite Chinese dishes, the food is fresh and prepared as you prefer, and the cooks who double as clerks are friendly and helpful. There is currently no seating inside, though there limited seating was available before the pandemic.
Very good mm so yummy. I love my chicken fried rice 10/10 would come again ?
Check your food before you eat it. I've had hair in my food on now two separate occasions. The first was minor. I just tossed the food and let it go, since it had never happened before. The second, months after the first incident, was the worst I've ever experienced at any food establishment. It looked like they dropped a piece of my Sweet and Sour Chicken under a dusty stove. Then, tried to mix it back into the dish during the cooking process. So gross and will never return to this place.
This is my first and definitely the last visit. Egg drop soup is overloaded with coloring that I could taste the chemical on the first sip. Fried rice is dry and tasteless.
Great quality chicken at a affordable price.
