Wanted to thank the staff for saving my mom's life. Took her to lunch for her birthday and she got choked while eating. I tried to do the Himelick maneuver but wasn't strong enough. A gentleman from the kitchen was able to dislodge the food from her throat. I was very panicked and did not get anyone's name. There are angels out there!Thank you again and God bless.

Our server was Valerie L. she was very nice & took great care of us.We had the 2 for $25.00 the spinach Artichoke dip was good & hot. We enjoyed it.My husband & I had the Orientals salad with grilled chicken.Husband was find with it.But I don't care for all purple cabbage, I prefer to have some greens in my salad, I felt like I had salad made of purple Cabbage, Carrots, and 5 Pieces of greens/Lettuce with grilled chicken.a salad like this makes me feel like I got the junk at the bottom of a bag of salad mix. There are bearly any oriental noodles on the bottom of the salad. The do have handicap parking. And clean restrooms, which I appreciate.

We arrived there exactly at opening. Only 1 server was there. Service was fairly quick, food was good. The only complaint was there was 1 server there and quite a good amount of guests, she did awesome for being srving 6 tables on her own that's why it's a 4. I do know most places are short staffed so I understand.

I just left Applebees in Shawnee, got Great service from Wendy the manager! She was Awesome in problem solving my order online. So Appreciate her time this matter! TY

If I could give zero stars I would! It had been quite some time since I had food from an Applebee's. I had noticed on their menu a broccoli fettuccine Alfredo dish. This sounded good. I decided to order it online directly from their website for pickup from their store. The online ordering process was okay, not the easiest but not the worst. Their website has some rendering issues on mobile especially for the CVV field when trying to make payment. The order was placed, and I was told to arrive in 15-25 minutes. I arrived 5 minutes prior to the earliest delivery time.I checked in at the front door with the host stand. The employee told me that I had to walk to the other side of the store to the other register in order to pick up my takeout order that had already been paid for. Looking around the restaurant, there were only three other tables with guests. This was not a busy time and seemed like a poor customer experience for me. Nonetheless, I walked across the store to stand near the other cash register. I waited for a few minutes before someone came out and asked me who I was, what I wanted, and if my takeout order had already been paid for. I shared the details and they handed me my order in a bag. Overall, the reception from the staff was poor, unenthusiastic, and generally dispassionate and uncaring. This was further reflected in the dirty dishes stacked all over the bar and near the second register that I had to go to. These are further signs of a restaurant in decline.I drove home, which only took a couple of minutes since I live nearby. That is when I opened the food to try it. Sadly, silverware was requested for the takeout order, and it was NOT included with the food in the bag. The meal continued to go downhill from here. The breadstick tasted like it was freezer burnt prior to being overcooked and dried out. It had no moisture and there was no butter or oil topping on it like advertised. The fettuccine was cold, sticky, overcooked, and had a glue-like consistency. The Alfredo sauce was almost like paste and had no flavor. It was not obvious that there was Parmesan cheese added to the pasta like advertised. If there was, it was in such a small amount that it could not be recognized. The chicken was bone dry, beyond over cooked, and tasted just like charcoal briquets. So much so that is all that you tasted in the pasta. The only thing in the pasta that had a decent flavor and seems to be correctly cooked was the broccoli.Overall, this was not worth the nearly $20 for the pasta dish or the time it took to get the food. This was an extreme disappointment! I will NOT return to an Applebee's for an exceptionally long time. There was definitely no eatin' good in the neighborhood here today...

Can't beat the daily specials. Wednesday is $5 burgers and Sunday is $13 all you can eat shrimp. Awesome way to bring people back.

Terrible Applebees, the poor waitress! It felt like we walked into a dark, dank, old bar! No atmosphere at all. It was lunch time and we were the 3rd and 4th customers, by 12:30pm there were 6 of us... The special was riblets, although they had none, (someone forgot to lay them out so they could be cooked) so my friend ordered a rack of ribs, soooooo tuff he could hardly cut a rib off. He sent them back, the manager came back 30 minutes later with the cook and agreed they were tuff, then asked if he wanted to place another order, AKWARD! So he ordered a burger and left, never to go back again... End of true story!!!

I celebrated my 72nd birthday with a grand dinner of a succulent Bourbon Steak dinner. The steak with mushrooms and onions was a 10 +. Dessert ,The Blonde Brownie, sealed the excellent meal. I had the opportunity to meet the acting manager, Travis! What a charming and pleasant person. His energy and smile added a happy note to my special day. He provided the + to the 10 stars for Applebee's at 63rd & Shawnee Mission Pkw.Thank you for everything,Deborah Ellis

We did the 2 for 24 special and my wife's ribs was cold and my burger was pre cooked all they did was put it in the microwave this location is absolutely terrible i advise people to not come to this location unless they show proof that they have it together.
