The Scheme is not just a food place, it's a destination. First thing you need to know is that they do not take credit or debit cards. And they seem rather proud of that fact. So, bring some cash. When we found out they just took cash, we moseyed down to the local ATM and were cheered by the locals on returning. Now that we have that out of the way let's begin. When you walk in you will find the decor somewhat western with North West territory signage, large paintings, and mounted animal heads. We appreciated the yellow roses that were table pieces on most of the tables. It gave a friendly and welcoming feeling. You have to ask for the story behind them. Most of the paintings have something hidden in them and the owner has displayed letters from his great grandparents. They knew president Lincoln, Buffalo Bill, and the Virginian. You will not regret asking for details. Now, The Scheme claims to have the best pizza in the Universe. So, we had to put that to the test. The server brought us honey to put on the crust after we ate the rest of the piece of pizza. The leftover crust was referred to as the "dessert piece." We thought it was like school pizza with a lot of awesome cheese on it. Not quite the best we've had, but tasty nonetheless. The food was good and the drinks were mixed well, but the experience of the place was the highlight of our visit to Kansas.

Always AMAZING!! The atmosphere & staff are just Great!!! And the food....so fresh & like nothing you have ever had.Side note- Always make a reservation!! And call early if you are taking it to go!!!!
By far the best pizza place in Salina. Overall the Scheme Pizza is never a bad choice. There are always plenty of good company around to dine with & also since its not open everyday, plus high demand you better have a reservation on Friday and Saturday night! I don't eat as much here as I should since I am a local but every time I've ate at the Scheme Pizza since I was a little kid the experience has always been superb. It is a little more expensive, especially if you have a lot of people but with the service, quality, and overall atmosphere you will receive makes up for it because nobody wants to have a bad time when you eat pizza. LOLP.S. this place offers great drinks as well, and when you're done with your pizza and wonder why there is a honey bear on your table it makes since to keep tradition going of eating your pizza crust with honey. Order your pizza just like you want it. Crazy big selection of fresh toppings and cheese. Cool oldish bar setting. Friendly wait staff and ownership. Wine by the glass or bottle.Show up for lunch as it can get pretty busy at nights. Limit topping or you can get sticker shock when your bill comes.
I haven't been here in so long. I forgot how great the pizza is. I will certainly be back soon.
love love love the Pizza, atmosphere, drinks and music. Hours open and ability to get in sometimes make it hard to visit is only reason for 4 stars. A little planning and its very much worth thw stop.
