So this place was so messed up, we sat there for 10 minutes waiting for our food all the while it was ready and just sitting by the drive through. Ugh... So frustrating...
Drinks were great 5 stars. The food was OK st about a 3 star. Thus has been averaged out to a 4.
Smoothies are mainly ice and water… I’ll be going to enjoy pure food or nectar next time.
I LOVE the food from this place, however, almost every time I've ordered I've either had an incorrect item or an item missing completely. Definitely a spot I'll only be going in to eat from from now on (my latest order was missing two items). But, great otherwise.
The smoothies my coworkers and I ordered were not blended at all. There are huge chunks of fruit and ice that are too big for the straws. The peanut butter cup smoothie didn’t have any peanut butter in it, it tasted like watered down chocolate powder with banana chunks. I order from the location on 151st and blackbob all the time and have never had this problem there.
HUGE SHOUT OUT to the girl whose ALWAYS working the drive thru. She is the hero we need!!! Shes always there, always polite even when shes super busy and shes killing it! Maybe shes the manager? Not sure. She deserves a raise!
To start, this location is always really slow. When I pulled up to the window it took about 5 minutes until they came to the window so I could pay. Then had to wait probably another 10 minutes to get my order. The food and smoothies have also been really bad the past few times I’ve been. The banana chia boost smoothie I got once wasn’t even fully blended, so it was like drinking ice and peanut butter chunks. I recently went back in hopes it would be better but this time my smoothie was pure liquid. I got the new strawberry chia lemonade smoothie and it takes like strawberry flavored water. And now the food… Recently I got the avocado grilled cheese, and it is far from that. The cheese is hardly melted and the bread is cold and crunchy like it had been sitting out before I received it. Ive gone back a few times in hopes things would be better, but if I go to Tropical Smoothie again, it will not be to this location.
We order here a lot. Food and Smoothies good. 3 stars because 1) if you order online make sure you call and confirm. Their system always has issues with printing online orders. Had happen at multiple locations. 2) Service isn't exactly friendly.
Would not recommend. Overpriced and horribly slow service.
