We had the most amazing experience tonight it was nobody in the restaurant extra salads friendly sta we’re not going anywhere we really sure enjoyed the show we started with a
First timer! The wait was long but it was worth it! Plenty to take home as well. Splitting a hibachi dinner was an additional $7 (which was fine, there was plenty!) However we didn't realize the fountain drinks were nearly $5 an order or we would've gone for a water instead. (I barely drink pop, so I basically paid $5 for three sips). Ha ha.Overall, good choice! Attached are photos of my shrimp and my husbands chicken portion. We will be coming again.
Wonderful environment! Chefs were very entertaining and food was Fantastic~
Loved it! Prices are very high, but it's worth it! They get very busy on weekends so make a reservation ahead of time! You get soup, salad, and a bowl of rice before the hibachi! They cook in front of you(hibachi). Make sure to try the yum-yum sauce and catch the shrimp! The tables seat about 10 people so if your party is smaller you will be with another group! If you want yellow sauce (aka Hollandaise) you have to ask for it! It was SOOOO delicious!!!
If you're looking for a sushi joint with a solid foundation in Overland Park, this is your place. The service is very good; It has a little bit of everything and does them well. The Overland Park roll is splendid, especially for how cheap it is! As a matter of fact, the entire menu is beyond belief for the prices and ridiculous portion sizes. The only complaint I would be the dining area. The "main dining" area, not the hibachi grill zone, is a little claustrophobic. The tables are a little close together for my taste. Sitting at the sushi bar is the way to go! But, overall, Toro is so close to making sushi in Overland Park to the next level.
Service is slow and terrible. Waitress only came to the table twice the entire time we were there. We ordered alcoholic drinks and they took over 20 minutes to get to the table and one never arrived. The ones that did had ZERO alcohol in them. Told the waitress I was allergic to shrimp which typically means my food is prepared in the back... No biggie... She failed to notify the right people and the chef made my food with the rest (shrimp included) and he tried to serve me. He was already plating other people's food and had to tell the kitchen at that point to cook mine in the back by the time I received my food everyone else had pretty much finished eating. I ordered steak and chicken and my chicken was undercooked.... I felt really bad for our chef at the table as he was put into a cluster and did not know and was not aware of the situation.NOT CLEAN. Would NOT recommend
The food here is fantastic, however, the service is not. Upon arrival, we told the hostess we had a reservation for 6:30 and she said it would just be a few minutes. 30 minutes later, we were finally seated. They were fairly busy, but I don’t understand how reservations didn’t come before walk ins. Very frustrating. The bathrooms were absolutely freezing. You could literally see your breath in there. Other than that, the staff was very pleasant and friendly, so hopefully you can overlook the other problems
Food was good as well as the chef. No problem making a reservation for 12 on short notice. However, one girl that worked there was doing several jobs at once and it took 30 minutes to get a drink at the bar. When I tried to order a drink, the employee kept saying "yes, one minute" and then would walk away and seat tables and check out to-go orders or answer the phone.
Probably one of my favorites for sushi and hibachi! Friendly staff and clean environment.
excellent food, reasonable price and decent service. definitely come back soon!
