Was disappointed to learn curbside service has been discontinued. Four-piece dark meal with soup and fries was fine, but 1/2 gizzard appetizer wasn't as crispy as usual. The e-order process works surprisingly well.
Despite the Pandemic staffing, they have strived to make your dining experience great! Food was made TO ORDER and food temp was hot! Our Food Server, Grace, was excellent! Be patient. Be Kind. Be Understanding.
Good family style food. Chicken was perfect and sides were delish.

First we asked to be seated in a warm area. We were seated in a very cold area couldn't wait to get out of there. The food was less than good. The mashed potatoes were cold, the onion rings were soggy, not crisp. Will not be going back [email protected]
We went for New Years Eve. Been going to Stroud's for years and always loved it.Tonight was really disappointing. First of all waitress was not friendly. I always get Chicken Livers and when brought to us they looked almost black. I asked to have a re-cook and when I got them they were same color and blood oozing out. Green beans were not hot.The waitress was really rude about it and said people have a bad night sometimes and didn't have a manager come and address it with us. So disappointed.....Won't be back.
The chicken is great, but there's a ton of other options. Today we tried the pan fried pork chop. We had the spicy one, and it was a perfect balance of spicy to sweet. We were afraid it would be like Buffalo sauce but it wasn't. We'll definitely be back, wish we had one closer to Lenexa.

I went here with family for Thanksgiving and I was pretty excited to have fried chicken on Thanksgiving day for a change. While the food was fine, the service was nothing short of terrible. When my dad asked for cranberry sauce the host at the buffet jokingly offered him whip cream. When I asked one of the staff for butter so my grandma could enjoy a biscuit he didn't even bother to look up from the tray of chicken he was carrying. Just replied "sure" only to disappear off to the kitchen. Upon advice from another host I asked my waitress. The chick didn't even acknowledge me standing there for around 30 seconds. Extremely rude person. And when my relatives ordered coffee after dinner from the same rude waitress she didn't even offer me a cup. just raced back to the kitchen like the other guy. All in all, if I were looking for a place to enjoy a meal with family and friends I would save my money and consider a better establishment. This place is poorly managed and it shows in the lack of discipline displayed by their staff.
Stroud's was, is and always will be a top dining experience. The service is beyond exceptional. The food is the highest quality prepared to the best standards (yes, it takes a few more minutes to cook fresh pan fried chicken but it is more than worth the wait). The portion sizes are huge plus the sides are refillable. The price is a bit higher but when you compare all of the other items, I'm willing to pay extra.
