Great bbq. Nice little outdoor seating area. Really friendly staff.
It wasn't bad, but it just didn't have that kick that BBQ should have. The staff were amazing and the food was good just not WOW good. The brisket on my plate was "shaved" and was more like lunch meat, while the brisket on my friends sandwich was thick and tender, and had a more smokey flavor. The BBQ beans were really really really good. I liked them alot.
Great food. I was introduced to this place during a job interview. We stopped in for lunch, had the pulled pork and fries. Fast, somewhat friendly service, and really good food
We stumbled onto this gem! Everything we ordered was outstanding! If I lived closer, I’d definitely be back much more frequently! You won’t be disappointed if you give this place a try!
Excellent meal and we were the last of the night. Burnt ends were good and super bold to do tacos, that just tells you how tender these are.Unique classic BBQ is the best I can say because they do classic concepts in unique ways. The smoketown throw down was topped with these really different onion straws that weren’t too oniony but also crunchy and thick and light. The mac bites were awesome they make them with Gouda not jack cheese like the menu says. They were really busy and it showed but they were quick.
I recommend the burnt ends and ribs… because they are my fave. Had them today for the first time, first time there also. It will be my new go to when we are in kc… This is the real deal bbq!!!! My hubby and I are foodies.. this is easily in the top ten all time bbq !!!
Delicious BBQ. The woman at the counter was amazingly helpful. It was our first time there and she was very helpful in getting a great sampling of food. 4 of us went and we got the sandwich special for the day as well as the Sampler. We went home with a serving of food. We felt the amount of food was wonderful and generous for the money. The sandwich special came with choice of meet sandwich, pickle, a side of fries (a large basket of fries) and a fountain drink. The sampler came with 4 Texas toast size butter slices, beef, chicken, pork, sausage, and burnt ends with 3 pickles, and a tray of fries. The sampler can definitely feed two, maybe 3 if you have a light to medium eater in the three. Service was wonderful! Food was delicious! Right around the corner from IKEA and Merriam town hall. We will be back! Thank you!
The place was very clean and someone came out as soon as a group left to clean up the table. The food came out promptly and was really good. We got the sampler plate and the burnt end tacos. All the food was really good. The toast was so nice and buttery and the burnt ends were the best I've had. We will be returning when we are in that area again.
Burnt end plate was in really good, just the right amount of good, Cole slaw was just right by me, not too sweet.
My brother and I just visited Smoketown BBQ for the second time, and this is easily in my top bbq places I have ever been. And I’m 59 so I’ve tried lots of bbq places. We both had the beef sandwich and fries. The beef was perfectly cooked, moist, and tender. If you are a French fry person, this is nirvana! Crispy, hot, tender crinkle cut fries—again this is a favorite for fries now. They have the house sauce, which is my favorite, and a slightly sweet and then one with some heat to it. The staff are great! Everyone of them. Friendly and fast service from people who really care about your experience in their restaurant. On a scale of 1-being awful to 10-the best, Smoketown is a 12. And now you can order thru door dash. Want great food, great service, and a great time? Smoketown can’t be beat!
