This is the best Indian food I have had in KC for both flavor and experience. I have lived here for almost 20 years. The people were friendly and the food was phenomenal. I loved walking through the little market they had in the store as well. We will definitely be going back! Cannot recommend this enough! It is a must visit!
I was initially referred to the Indian restaurant Shagan's by my coworkers. I had never had Indian food before but I must say I was thoroughly impressed! The staff was very patient with my ignorance towards what to order, their recommendation was well received. The food was delicious and the staff and owner were extremely kind and courteous. The service rivaled that of a 5 star restaurant. I won't be in Overland Park/Kansas City after this week, but I fully intend to eat here again before I head home. I would highly recommend this family friendly restaurant to a friend!
Food had very mild taste as an Indian food.And the spices were not proportionately put. Flavour was missing. People were nice. But if I’m eating out I want good food.Will probably not go there again.
I can’t say what was better—the food or the service—but both were superb. We were greeted with a warm welcome, and Shagan was so patient with those of us who were not super familiar with Indian cuisine as she explained the different dishes and how they were spiced. All the dishes were flavorful, and the meat was so tender. The butter chicken and the vegetable korma were especially good. The service was so friendly. I hope to come back here next time I’m in KC.
Spectacular is all you need to know. The box meal deal is absolutley phenomenal. The deal comes with pita, rice and both curry chicken and butter chicken (u can pick other options including vegetarian). It tastes A+ and the drive through window is clutch! Seems like it's family run and done so correctly which is another reason I'll support. I'm a new customer.
When we drove up this looked like a small Indian grocery store and we were having our doubts. We each ordered the 3 entree plate that comes with Naan. Delicious and well spiced. They have a variety to try. The plate would have been enough to feed 2 people. The staff was very friendly and explained each dish. The owner was so nice and gave our granddaughter a dessert to take with her. Will visit again next time we travel to this area.

We tried the curry chicken/butter chicken combo, vegetables korma and Naan. THE BEST EVER. Just wish it was closer to Lenexa. Can't wait to try everything else!
Oh what an experience!! Love the food. Having three different options is wonderful for a newby. Garlic naan is delicious. Customer service is incredible!!
