My favorite coffee shop in the KC metro! Great atmosphere, abundant seating, and lots of power outlets. The space is very conducive to working. It’s also bustling enough that you could have a chatty coffee date without feeling like you’re disturbing anyone. The staff are above and beyond - really the main reason I love this coffee shop so much. Everyone who works here is so friendly. Props to the owners for hiring great people and creating a good work environment for them!

This used to be really high quality coffee however in the past few months I've been pretty disappointed. My order is often slightly wrong (hot instead of cold or too much syrup when I request the opposite) and it's just not consistently the same quality anymore. I'm not sure what happened but it's disappointing. Still better than most of the chain coffee shops but not on the same level as Second Best or Messenger Coffee any more

My boyfriend and I visited this coffee shop yesterday and we took maybe two drinks of our orders. I ordered a coffee and he got a juice. Two completely different items, but both tasted completely off. I can’t even describe how my coffee tasted... other than it tasted nothing like coffee. I was very excited to try something local so that’s why we stopped in. Giving three stars for the look & cleanliness of the shop, and the girl working behind the counter was welcoming & helpful.

Great independent coffee shop that provides space and quiet areas. In addition to the great coffee and teas offered, there are also pastry items available. If you are tired of chains, give these folks a try.... Or better yet, just give them a try PERIOD. You'll be glad you did and will return often.I highly recommend the chai tea latte (hot).

The pour over is unusually good, and the muffins were delish! Kind staff, went out of their way to help!

It was fine. The latte was good but not great for how expensive it was. My husband would not drink the hot chocolate I got him and neither would my 9 y/o son. The donut was the star of this place! The cinnamon roll was only ok. It was loud and crowded inside.

I loved the coffee there, but would prefer to have at least two options of size for their cappuccino. Mine came in a 10 oz (I think) cup. It was strong, which I would typically prefer, but today I wanted some extra oat milk. Also, the coffee shop itself was quite cold.

The atmosphere is fine. But it doesn't do justice for the service my friend and I received. We ordered at 7:17am. We got coffee and each ordered a breakfast burrito. The two young men working did not get our burritos to us until 7:45am after my friend and I said something to them twice. We planned on eating there but had to take them to go so we wouldn't be late to work. It took almost 30 minutes to get our breakfast and the two workers didn't seem apologetic or concerned about us waiting. This experience put a bad taste in my mouth and I will be reluctant to go back to Pilgrim.

This is a great local coffee shop. They have an excellent espresso roast that makes a latte that is smooth and somehow still bold. Not to mention the owner and staff are excellent.

I got their pour over (light roast) and it was perfect! Very delicious! My wife got a cortado that she loved and said was done perfectly as well. Kiddos got hot chocolates and loved them too.
