I've lived 27 years of life without eating the cheese curds in this establishment. I was not living. we were here for a trivia event, the place was crowded and our group of four crowded around a table clearly meant for two. our incredible server cyd alerted us when a more spacious table opened up, giving us plenty of room to enjoy even more of the incredible foods McGuire's has to offer. 10/10 I'm recommending to a friend right now.
Rueben had little meat,chips were chewy, Cole slaw was not fresh other than that the folks sitting at the bar seemed like robots!
This is a hidden gem!! The food is absolutely delicious. We had the chicken tenders and the nachos. Great choices! You must come here!!
Neat little Irish pub in Old O.P. Visited on Tuesday, so of course they had taco specials, which of course I took advantage of. They were tasty, and four filled me up — along with a Smithwick’s from the tap. My two laddies (12 and 9) ordered cheeseburgers from the kids menu, and had more than enough to eat. The onion straws were a bit too greasy, but everything else was great. Waitress was friendly and attentive.
Great Irish Pub cuisine. It’s a true neighbor bar to relax, have a drink & a really good meal. The staff are always friendly & accommodating!!
We love McGuire's Tavern. It is a nice, relaxed atmosphere and they don't serve the typical tavern food. They have a mac and chicken dish that is amazing. A few weeks ago I tried the sweet potato soup and it exceeded my expectations. Burgers are great and last week I had the black bean burger which was excellent. They offer daily specials and I noticed meat loaf was on the board last week. Hubby swears by the open face roast beef. My daddy is a regular and they take good care of him. I highly recommend McGuires to anyone looking for the non-traditional bar fare with great prices.
So none of the pictures on Google are of the current menu, pretty disappointing as the food looked great online and was basic in person. Charming atmosphere with the bar setup and wooden tables. Standard service. Slight plumbing smell, hopefully temporary.
Bartenders are friendly but it was dead on a late Saturday night. I was the only person there. I will visit again just to make sure that's not usual or to figure out the reason why that's the way it is here.
