First time trying this restaurant and absolutely loved it! The menu offers a great selection of items. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious! We will definitely be back to try other menu items! The service was great!
Words can not describe how cool and authentic this place truly is… I’m only 20 years old but in my short life (living in Overland Park) never have I had such a genuinely unique experience at a restaurant in town. I immediately was taken away by how amazing the scenery was when you walk in, everything from the posters on the wall to the memorabilia on the shelf’s has a story behind it. Perhaps the most interesting thing about the place is the bike on the counter along the back side of restaurant. I wish I could tell you the story behind it but if I did it wouldn’t give you a reason to come here, so for that reason, I’ll let you hear it for yourself in person. The story teller behind it all is the owner, Bill. I had a chance to meet Bill briefly after me and my buddies finished up our meals and holy cow I’m glad I was able to meet him. He is an amazingly interesting guy and easy to talk to. If you ever have a chance to say hi to him while you are in there I highly suggest you do so. Even with all these cool stories, there is still something about this place that people need to experience for themselves… the food! The selections are simple yet amazing looking. My experience with the spicy ramen was fantastic and it was presented exactly how I had imagined it. The flavor was as authentic as it gets for ramen (to my knowledge) and the spice level was very reasonable. I also got the squid balls, which I was hesitant at first to eat (because of the name) but trust me they are amazing! With all this being said, that was only my first time being there. I hope all of the future customers are able to have as awesome of an experience as I did. Thanks, Brock Anderson
This was our first time visiting here even though we live like 10 seconds away. I believe she was the owner here, but whomever it was that helped us was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and the place in general is very pretty. We’ll definitely be back. 10/10 ^_^
Very great ramen! I have tried many ramen places in the KC metro area and this place is the best for authentic ramen! The staff is VERY friendly and the owner is great. Clean, great set up and clean restrooms.
My Ramen was delicious and I took half home for lunch. Had kimchi for the first time and loved it. My husband ordered Japanese hot pot and he loved it. He couldn't eat it all. They are generous with portions! Staff was kind and love the condiments station. Can't wait to come back!
This place really packs your hotpot full of food! They were so courteous and interactive with their diners. A few things that I’ve enjoyed eating at this place would be how reasonably priced their food is, how cute and innovative the way they keep your hot pot cooking while sitting at your table, and the sauce bar! They allowed substitutions with no hesitations, for example I ordered the Seafood pot and subbed my pork with more mussels instead and they were totally fine with it! The broth was flavorful the seafood was plentiful! I will say, be cautious with how you mix your sauces because thing can go tasting funky fast (my own fault) haha! The best thing which I feel really bad about, was how late we stayed there. All in all, I WANT to come back here! 10/10 recommend
Our favorite place for Ramen!!! I think is the best ramen in KC and MO!!! Everything is so fresh and taste so good!!! Is our 4th time and we will keep coming for more!!!! This is the best!!!
We enjoyed our inaugural visit with JNB! Super friendly wait staff, no issues with 2 toddlers (no high chair opted but they're readily available). We found their menu variety more than adequate for our group. It was different having the burner heating our Hot Pot dish selections throughout the meal. Two of us opted to extinguish the hot pot flames; not for safety rather the food's temperature & boiling splashes prompted us to ask the staff to remove the flames. We found the dishes fitting the Jumbo Name & could have split one dish using any of their supplemental side choices - no shortage of options there either. The sole drawback centered on the window shade not functioning to block the direct sunlight for one of our guests. Our seating selection might change for our next visit.
There is an infusion of different flavors with the combination of the vegetables and meat in the hotpot. The unlimited broth is a big plus. The meat is already cooked and ready to eat just heat the soup and you are in for a great gastronomic experience. I like it that there are more vegetables than the noodles? The soup is so delicious.
This is a true noodle bar like I experienced over seas. Good portion size and nice selection of dishes. Staff was good
