Food was really good, but service wasn't the best.
I've been coming here for many years and always enjoy it. I'm pretty sure it's not my imagination, but the food is getting more spicy. I've recently had the Monterey chicken, the chicken burrito and the ground beef burrito and all see to be getting"hotter". I know some people enjoy that, but I'm not a fan. I come here for good, flavorful food, not spicy food. Still 4 stars. Food was good. Server Meylin was not pleasant. Hope I don't get her again. She said they have new cooks so that might account for the spicy food.
The food was good and the server (Leslie) was prompt and courteous. The fork I received has some stuck on particles, so cleanliness is suspicious. Price was reasonable for a dine in restaurant.
Service is always good. Staff is super friendly. And food is never bad. They also give you generous portions of chips and salsa to go. Can’t go wrong eating here.
Ordered some rice and beans to go. Got home and the rice wasn't even done. Could of got better rice at Taco bell. Never again.
Was visiting from out of town and met relatives there. Lovely lunch, good food, great spicy margaritas! Fun waitress, very sweet. Attentive service. Enjoyed ourselves, highly recommend.
Great experience especially when a lot of restaurants close at 8pm during the week. After a long day of travel, we were greeted by friendly staff that didn’t mind being busy, and knew how to provide a great experience. They are pros! The food was good, and the chips and salsa were abundant and tasty.
We went to Jose Pepper's after a staff member at another restaurant unenthusiastically told us that there would be a 20-minute wait in a nearly empty establishment. The staff at Jose Pepper's greeted us when smiles and immediately seated us. Haley and the rest of the staff were friendly, competent, and served us generous portions and a prompt manner. We've never been disappointed at this restaurant.
Took two great-grandkids to the one in Mission. Worst service we've ever had. We were seated and then totally forgotten. Had to finally ask for service and was able to order. When the meal was brought, one child had to go to the restroom and I asked that the table not be cleared..we had not eaten at this time so the table was quite full of food and drinks. The waitress said she would mark the table and keep an eye on it. When coming back from the restroom, our table had been totally cleared. I explained to the manager and will never go back. It's difficult when you have young children to wait to have everything made again when we had already waited so long. Couldn't wait to get out of there and won't go back.
Jose Pepper’s in Overland Park offers a bright and lively environment to enjoy great Mexican food. Their service is great and they keep the chips coming. The manager at this particular location is always friendly and he runs a well oiled machine. Their crispy tacos are freshly fried and absolutely delightful. And their jalapeño margarita is a big treat.
