Found this on the trip advisor and yelp app. Both ad mixed reviews, so we decided to just try it. We wanted authentic Italian food and we got it. Yes the place need some up dating, but expect from a family own restaurant vs chain. 2 of us ordered lasagna (picture is one not cut and 1 cut to see layers), and 1 person ordered seafood Alfredo. We had good food and service. Only complaint is that I hate the paper straws.
We had a great experience at Johnny Cascone’s. Our waiter informed us right off the bat that they are short staffed. Unfortunately it seems most places are nowadays. Regardless of them being low of help, our waiter did a fantastic job of keeping up with our drinks and other needs. My peach Bellini was delicious as was my food. I ordered the Italian Flag and my favorite was the fettuccine Alfredo. I’ll be ordering that next time I come for sure!
We came here for a birthday party and had an area with several table reserved. Our group was over 20 people. The food was great and priced right. Nice selection on the menu to. The server was very nice he tried his best, there were couple of hiccups and they were taken care of, that's why there should have been 2 servers for this large group. After all had a great time great food. Definitely go again.
We went on a very busy Saturday night with no reservation and we were still seated quickly! Our server Pat was an absolute delight! The drinks were great and so was the food. I think we have found our new favorite place!
The food here is amazing and so worth the prize.. you really get what you pay for. You have to try this restaurant!!
Went here on a date night without the kids for once. Been a long time since we’ve had Italian food so we tried this place. We were seated right away, which was great for a Saturday night. That about it for positives. The bread seemed like a cheap loaf the bought at Walmart and warmed up. Cold butter packets so you can test your bread up buttering it. Caesar salad is served in a warm bowl for $6. You get a better salad as part of your meal at Texas Roadhouse. Their sauce is overly sweet. My wife and I could not finish our meals and had no desire to eat the leftovers tomorrow.Could of had a better meal for half the price at Fazoli’s.
The food was delicious and the portions sharable. Our waiter, Roberto was awesome. The service he gave would make me go back as much as the food.
New customer here! I was looking for an Italian place to eat that wasn’t too high end that I would feel out of place at after running errands. Very family friendly restaurant. We came at the right time before 6pm dinner rush. We ordered a blue moon, braised beef short rib special, baked lasagna, side salads, and stuffed mushrooms. The beef short rib special was outstanding as were the carrots and Alfredo. The lasagna wasn’t a special baked dish and I would have liked more cheese in the dish itself. The stuffed mushrooms were amazing and the sauce poured ontop was perfect. Blue moons are a dinner beer that are normally served with an orange wedge garnish and this was not. I would love to see a dipping sauce or signature dipping oil with the warm complementary bread and salads to come with the meal and not an extra charge. Our wait staff was very polite, respectful, helpful, and timely. The owner/manager running around was a little distracting, but it’s the food business so it’s understandable. We will be coming back!
The rating would easily be 5⭐ if were for service. When my wife got her order, and saw mushrooms in the sauce(she is allergic), we immediately informed the waitress, who promptly told us that it stated on the menu that there were mushrooms in the sauce. She had specifically ordered what she did because it was one of the few items that DIDN'T say it had mushrooms. The plate she returned to us looked like they just picked out the mushrooms and sent it back. You could see the indentations in the sauce in identical locations. To top it off, she ordered asparagus instead of pasta, and none of the plates had it.Atmosphere was amazing and the italian flag meal was an amazing first dish
Tried this place based on a recommendation from someone in Saint Louis when they heard we would be in KC for a tennis tournament. Not going to lie, this is seriously the best Italian restaurant I've ever eaten at (and my wife and I have our anniversary dinner every year on The Hill in St. Louis, so we know our way around great Italian food....) This place got us thinking that we might just have to travel 4 hours for our anniversary dinner next year. Yes, it's that good.....
