When you close early, make sure you can't order online and take people's money for no food. You took my money

I came in last week and placed an order of a pastrami sandwich with the owner. It was absolutely delicious! It was shaved, piled high, tender….. perfect! I absolutely loved the spicy slaw side as well. I enjoyed my sandwich so much that I talked it up to my husband as one of the best sandwiches I had ever had. Today, as soon as he returned from his business trip, we went forlunch as my rave reviews made him crave the same. Man did the kids working lunch today make me into a liar! What he got was a few THICK cut, tough pieces of extremely salty pastrami heated on some bread. Two sandwiches, drinks & chips $31.02 for a lunch that would have been better at Arby’s. No more bragging on Jersey Boyz for me!! Blech!!

Haven't been in 12-14 yrs..was in the area today and just had to try it again. Location has changed . Was surprised it wasn't as busy as I remember! but got order in. waited maybe 5or 6 minutes in a pretty much empty sitting area. Got my order drove home to eat. Sub felt heavy and substantial (ham turkey provolone #5). Grabbed a quater of my whole sub, Was happy to see plenty ? of turkey ,ham was a bit less and provolone .much thicker w meat than I ever expected it was good I would've wanted more oil and vinegar if anything but over all it was very good and filling. ?

Was hoping to get a quick bite to eat. Because I love their Buffalo wrap there were three people in the restaurant two people working I made eye contact with someone that was working and no one took my order as I was standing in front of the register for about 10 minutes. So I walked out because If I stayed and had to wait much longer I was going to be late for my meeting. Won’t go there for lunch unless I have 45 plus minutes to spare. You would think a deli place would be a great spot for a quick meal but I guess not!

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I have been a customer for many years, but this new ownership is a joke. They've been closed almost this whole month and after checking the reviews and speaking to friends who also go here I am shocked. Its more than $10 for a pathetic sandwich and they can't even pay their employees?! They used to have the best staff!! So upsetting to see what has become of this local favorite. Also was informed they recently stopped selling Boars Head meat. Higher prices for lower quality?? NO THANKS. I will no longer support this business.

I really enjoy Jersey Boyz Subs but recently the service has been sub-par and orders have been incorrect. It is not a close drive so by the time we get home and find our order to be incorrect, there is nothing to do. Also, the management hasn't seemed very sympathetic to these issues either.

One of my favorites places when I'm near151st and Metcalf at lunchtime. The Sloppy Boy on marble rye is my favorite and a 5!I tried the Ruben on rye today. The pastrami was tasty, the bread was panini grilled which made the bread not saturated or greasy. However It was a little short on the sauerkraut and thousand island dressing to offset the 'dry' bread and sliced meat. It's a 4.

After finding out that Ira, the current owner of Jersey Boyz does not pay his employees (at least not consistently) I will never eat here again. I know of at least 2 employees who went several weeks without a paycheck (right around Christmas). These people still have not been paid, were given no excuse as to why they weren't paid and continue to be led on by the owner and told the check is 'in the mail' when it's been over a month. I am shocked that people are allowed to get away with doing business this way. If you do not have the ability to pay your employees, the very least you could do is be upfront with them.

Used to love going here, the staff was great but what used to be a good environment has changed. The prices exceed normal expectations. I understand costs are rising due to covid but paying almost $3 for a tiny bag of chips is insane. A couple months ago I recommended this place to my neighbors whose kid needed a job but his time there was cut short due to never recieving pay for his time worked, never receiving any tips that were meant for the employees and having to witness harsh treatment to other employees by the owners. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. How is the owner going to be at local bars drinking all night and driving a Maserati when he can't even afford to pay his hard working YOUNG staff. He is clearly taking advantage of the youth!

I was told this place is amazing. So we decided to try it out and we were not impressed. Wife ordered Chicken Chipotle Wrap. She said it was very dry with no sauce or seasoning. Nothing really Chipotle about it. I ordered the meatball sub. Meatballs were very generic. No seasoning at all on it. Edible, but meh.Daughter (5 yo) ordered the grilled cheese and said it was the best grilled cheese she has ever eaten, so they did turn out good. Fries were pretty amazing too.The worst part was the wait. Took almost an hour to make 3 items on a to go order. Now to give credit where credit is due, the manager (I assume he is the manager) did comp my order, so it was free after waiting for about 45minutes, so that is appreciated. I didn’t even have to ask.A few other oddities, there was a blonde girl behind the counter cutting meats and cheeses was very questionably dressed. Her t-shirt didn’t cover her belly and was very lose. When she dropped a pickle, everyone got a show. She was also wearing a winter hat with her pig tails hanging down over the food. Didn’t seem appropriate to me. Also, the bathroom sink didn’t work , so you can’t wash your hands. They did provide hand sanitizer.Lastly, a few other reviews of complained about customer service. The customer service was great for us. Like I said, manager comped my order without me saying anything. Everyone was helpful and polite. No complaints there. 2 stars: 1 for customer service and 1 for apparently an amazing grilled cheese. Not sure if we will back or not, maybe for the fries.
