When we were seated, the server asked what we'd like to drink. We said "water." For the next 30 minutes we waited for the server - any server - to come back with water and to take our orders. We waited in vain. The restaurant was not crowded. We were simply ignored. This is the worst "service" (that is, NO service) I've ever had.
Went with my friend to talk to the manager this day after she ate there using her CHAMPSS card (senior citizen meal program) and experienced poor service and poor food quality. She waited over an hour for scrambled eggs and pancakes. The eggs and pancakes were near inedible. The last time I went to this location with my husband was over 5 years ago and we never got served and left, never to go back. After talking to the manager I thought she should have at least been comped for her time and the bad food. How can you mess up pancakes and scrambled eggs, especially if your name is International House of PANCAKES? I view it as a real slight to senior citizens. The manager she talked to said he was the general manager of 3 IHOP's. He said another senior called and complained about their 45 minute wait. He said they are working out the system. I hope so for the sake of seniors in this program. He said the day she was in, Thursday, July 21, 2022, they had 86 seniors dining there on this program.
I only eat from 3pm and prior to take that in mind when I say the staff is great! On weekdays the place is usually fairly empty and food arrives fast. Many of the waiters and waitresses are kind and quick when you order. One of the waitresses started remembering my orders after 2 weeks and now she orders for me.
We were the only table there, no silverware on the table. We had to ask for it. Had to wait forever for our food. My order wasn't as I asked for it. Had to ask for refills and waited another 10 min to even get them. Absolutely worst service I've ever had in my life. Again we were only table there. Soo there should be no excuse to go soo dang long without our food and drinks!
This was our 2nd time and we went at the least busy time. There were only 5 tables occupied. Our waitress got my order wrong, forgot the silverware and coughed onto my omelet when bringing it out. Since my order was wrong, she took it back. When she came back with the omelet, she coughed over it again. I leave good tips for good service. This was horrible
I was just there at Ihop on 95th and Metcalf with my grandson and the young waiter who waited on us was just amazing, not only did he make eye contact, interact with my grandson and make a better menu suggestion for me, he also checked in to make sure we were doing ok a few times. I can honestly say I have never had such great service before in my life. I wish I would have caught his name so I could post it. To the young man if you shall read this: Please keep up the kindness and the great service. You really made my day. Thank you.
My husband, youngest son, and myself stopped by to grab something to nosh on before we continued our day. Food was great. Service was excellent.
this place was so good. had the split decision breakfast and ate every last bite in less than 7 1/2 minutes. waiter was amazing, had such a relaxing voice to put us at ease. also had a beautiful smile. me and my 2 roomates all agree that this meal did in fact hit.
Again disappointed by this location. Was in a few months ago with my granddaughter and it was half an hour before anyone even came for a drink order. Today maybe half the tables were open yet they had a "waiting list" and more than half a dozen people waiting to be seated. The only reason I keep giving them chances is because a family member works for their tech company Dine Brands. Next time I will just pick up McDonald's.
Walked in party of 3, wasn't busy around 10am at this time. Took 3 mins to get taken to a both that had food in the seat. For the inside to look as decent as it was decor wise, it sure was dirty. Took 30 mins to get our food out. My daughter's sandwich was flat out burnt on one side and her crepes were so soggy she couldn't eat them. My food was cold and hard to cut with a knife. I don't know about you, but I like for my butter to spread on my pancakes, not make a crater when trying to spread it. First time eating at this iHOP, last time eating at any IHOP ever again! This was our experience, please go and have your own...you may just have a better time than we did. The only reason I gave this 2 stars was because of our waitress, and I guess he was the manger? I have no clue what his job title is, but they were nice.
