My family is a huge fan of this restaurant!This was my first time visiting and while the food was pretty good I'm not sure it's my personal cup of tea. My family loves it though and are repeat customers. I think it's worth a try!The staff was all very friendly and I like this location in OP.
Really enjoyed eating here! Chicken was juicy and piping hot! Fries and Mac and cheese were both good as well! Like the atmosphere. Great place!
Chicken was delicious as always, first time we had the mac and cheese definitely will go back for that! Was not a fan of the greens, I like extreme flavor of my greens, but Tanner brought out some vinegar something that helped give it a bit more of a bite! Okra is always my favorite! Even if I order nothing else from Gus's I will always order the okra. Yes it's high-priced but everything is high-priced anymore, no matter where you go. Thanks again Tanner we will definitely be back if not for the great service, for the fried okra, chicken and now the mac and cheese!

The fried chicken was juicy, flavorful, and savory and the honey mustard is well made. I recommend given them a try sometime.
It is 2-2-22 my very first experience and my last. They gave me old chicken it wasn't even fried today. The fried green tomatoes were gummy and cold and burnt on the edges. I am very disappointed. Why would you give someone cold old food. The restaurant was empty today due to snow but you can still cook food to order. $20. Worth of food no good to eat. Lucas took my order over the phone I thought it was going to be good. I'm exhausted with all Shawnee and Overland Park restaurants PERIOD!

Delicious food. The fried green tomatoes are amazing. Super friendly staff. The fried chicken is delicious not too spicy just a little bit of a kick at the end. Definitely going to be a regular stop. We will be back.
Extremely fast and attentive service throughput our meal! The chicken was cooked to order and although it came with a heat warning, it wasn't overly spicy. We had beans, fries, and mac-n-cheese as our sides and they were all hot and delicious. We were pleasantly surprised by the table service. Not only were the wait staff attentive, the owner/manager was as well. Highly recommend!ps- the sweet is spot on!
Pretty good. I was afraid it would be too spicy, but I couldn’t even tell it was spicy at all. Chicken was crispy and juicy. It was good. The fries were good. Then beans…prob straight from a can. Kinda expensive, but I didn’t mind. Unlike the chain chicken restaurants, I didn’t get sick after eating. The waitstaff were all good. Seemed to enjoy their job, seemed friendly and happy. Parking wasn’t bad. I didn’t think the wait was bad.We got the 12 piece and the special and everyone at my house enjoyed it.
Chicken, mac n cheese, and fries were all solid. They’ll let you sub out the beans and slaw in the meal. It was a little pricey for fried chicken I think but then again I don’t buy fried chicken too often. It is a sit down restaurant with a waitress which we didn’t expect. Staff was friendly and helpful, the waitress made sure to warn us that they use peanut oil and all the chicken is spicy (the tenders weren’t too bad in my opinion but I like spice). I’d go back.
