It's been a little while since I've been to Garozzo's and even longer since I've ordered Garozzo's Chicken Spedini. I forgot how delicious it is. It took me back to my mom's home cooking. Also the stuff artichoke was fantastic. Our server Robbie was very good. We went to Garozzo's to celebrate my wife's birthday. Then we found out that if she shows her I.D. they would Como her meal! What a great deal. Can't to return very soon. Great food great service and great Italian music made it a great birthday for my wife.
I always have the Hill's special with Angel hair pasta and meatball. I think it is the only place to go for Italian food. My guests always enjoy themselves too!
I booked a party of 20 to follow a funeral. 17 people of varying ages attended. Our waiter was Josh Golden. He was simply amazing in his efficiency and professionalism! Garozzo’s menu satisfied everyone and everything was perfectly prepared. Kudos to the chef and staff. Garozzo’s has long been a favorite restaurant. Josh took it to another level. Many thanks.
Garozzo’s catered for our wedding ceremony. The food was so delicious, and their servers were incredible and professional. The Garozzo’s team arrived at our venue about 2 hours before in order to do the preparatory work. They brought about 5 servers and it was the perfect amount for our 160-guest wedding event. They were flexible with the menu, allowing us to add Italian sausage to our tomato-based penne, add chicken to the alfio, and they made the entire meal tree-nut free for my allergy. They also were able to offer gluten-free and vegetarian options for guests with those dietary restrictions. The servers boxed up two to-go meals from our dinner, ready for the following day, and also boxed up all of the leftovers that we had, ready for the days ahead! It was also lovely having a surprise the following day when we were unwrapping gifts: a house bottle of wine from Garozzo’s! It was the cherry-on-top of an already incredible evening. We plan to go to the Garozzo’s restaurant every year on our anniversary to celebrate their wonderful catering!
The food was DELICIOUS. So good. Didn’t love the atmosphere necessarily. We were in an area with no windows so it was kinda dark and it was just in like a generic strip mall. The staff was nice and the drinks were good though.
On two different occasions we had reservations one for a birthday celebration and the other for an anniversary. We were seated by a door on both occasions, during the cold winter season. We asked the waiter/waitress if anyone would be going in/out that door before being seated and were told no, she said no one should be seated on the patio since it's too cold. So we ordered our food, then shortly after ordering a large party was seated on the patio. The wait staff kept going in/out the door repeatedly and freezing us. We asked our waitress to be moved and she gave us an attitude (these were on two different occasions the other occasion was a random exit door not the actual entrance/exit but a side door). We were finally moved to another table then ignored the entire meal. We had to ask other waiters for drink refills. The waitress only came back to give us our ticket....completely rude!!!! We will never go back to this place again. Absolutely worst restaurant experience. Ruined both special occasions.
The wait staff was poor. Had to ask for what should have been done without our asking and then had to ask a second person for our coffee, etc. Slow to bring our requests. The food was not very good. Had several items and none were tasty, with the exception of the coffee and dessert. They were not busy when we were there. Would not recommend this business.
Delicious food and great service. I would expect nothing less from a high-end Italian diner with a history like Garozzo’s. While I prefer the atmosphere of the downtown location, everything about the Overland Park restaurant is just as good as the original. Thank you for the Italian Beef sandwich! I will definitely be back.
Great atmosphere and ambiance! Very cozy and intimate. Great for a casual night out and special occasions. There isn't more you could want from a local Italian restaurant, known for its chicken spiedini. Get the garlic dip!
Kansas city staple. They invented chicken spadini. Great service and food. Love this place. Make sure to go on your birthday for a special suprise. Great wine pairings . 10 out of 10 would recommend and eat here again.
