Easy to customize pizzas and do two different selections of toppings on each half, great for sharing. (Thank you to the staff who suggested it!) Pizza and salad menu offers a mix of classics, staple specialties, and limited-time seasonal offerings. Very spacious with indoor and outdoor seating, good environment for solo, small, group, and kid dining.
Stumbled across this place today and so glad I did. Finding quality anything anymore is hard. Pizza meets quality and class here. The place is so nice inside. Open kitchen which I love. Staff was awesome and the food was excellent. I'm a calzone guy and finding any place that actually uses ricotta cheese is hard to find let alone even offering calzones on their menu. You can see and taste the difference in the quality here. They're doing every right and I'll be back for sure.
First off...the service. Our party was greeted with courtesy and a smile right when we walked in. We were seated quickly and everything we needed was given. I know this sounds like a hotel review but honestly there are some hotel lobbies that could take a cue from Dewey's. Our waiter was attentive and kind, offering help with the menu and bringing drinks when we needed them, always with a smile. Everyone else was getting the same solid service and that was great to see. The whole staff was very helpful with my 14-month-old son, offering and bringing a high-chair, offering and bringing him his own little cheese pizza (which he loved) and downplaying the fact that this little maniac was quite a handful the whole meal, at times just outright screaming. As a new dad it makes me feel so much more comfortable at a restaurant when the staff is helpful and understanding of my young family and of course we'll be back. My mom is in KC, we're in Topeka, so when we come visit Grandma it's probably gonna be time for Dewey's.Now, the pizza...Oh man!This is the pizza experience you want. Every bite, and I mean every bite, was thought out. Perfect thin crust, perfect mix of and distribution of toppings, perfectly baked...I mean, this pie is good! We had a Bleu Ribbon (which should become a menu staple, not just a limited time) and the Porky Fig. The ingredients are subtle and delicious, perfect adult pizza. The salads were so fresh and complimented the pie perfectly, and the ladies loved their wine and beer. This place has fantastic pizza.Honestly I don't really know why I'm taking three paragraphs to write a review for a pizza place an hour away from where I live that I've only been to once. I suppose it has to do with the fact that I was genuinely surprised with the experience and very pleased.Dewey's is a restaurant that is getting the service and quality of restaurant dining post-lockdown down, and they're doing it well. This restaurant should be a model to others for how to reopen and reopen in style. Thanks Dewey's.
Great spot for our early Valentine’s dinner. Food was amazing as always! So fast and prompt. Greg recognized us from our previous visits and stopped to make conversation, even asking if we were here for our anniversary as we’ve celebrated here before. Such a nice touch. Great customer service that will keep us returning! The specials are the best - limited time do you have to snag them while they are there! The harvest salad and the Cuban pizza are delicious. They also have a gluten free brownie that is decadent. And always love the red cream soda. Can’t say enough good things about Dewey’s!
Food is delicious, no complaints! The peppercorn ranch salad is amazing! Our order wasn't ready at the specified pick up time and we had to wait for 10 minutes for it. We did not complain at all, but a manager came out to our car and gave us a VERY generous gift card to make up for our wait. We were very impressed by this customer service!
This was a return visit for us. We placed a to-go order and were thrilled to see the "Cuban" back for a limited time. That's one of our favorite pizzas, and its appearance on the limited time menu made the decision easy for us! There was a 90+ minute wait from the time the order was placed to the time it was picked up, but what do you expect when you have a pizza that's this delicious and popular? We'll return again - and hopefully next time we'll be able to dine in.
Overpriced. Ordered two custom pizzas. Let’s just say, the volume of toppings (meatball, mushroom, extra cheese with red sauce on one and basil, extra cheese with white sauce on the other) was VERY underwhelming considering the premium price. Despite ordering extra cheese on the meatball pizza, you could see the red sauce. As for the white-sauced pizza, the garlic in the white sauce was imperceptible, basil maybe in one bite per slice—and if it had extra cheese, I would hate to see how much cheese was on a regular pizza.
Our favorite pizza place in KC! The manager recognized my fiancé and I when we came to dinner last week, and sent over a complimentary dessert! The pizza is top-notch and we love to atmosphere.
Stopped in for lunch. Great pizza. Lots of toppings. the crust was amazing. Place was clean and the staff was super and friendly. Definitely recommend.
Dewey’s is fantastic! One manager in particular, Will, is exceptional! He will go above and beyond to satisfy the customer. Recently picked up a pizza that was not quite right. Whoever prepared it must have been new or in a hurry. Called and spoke to Will. He wrote down the specifics of the order and went into the kitchen and made it himself!!! It was perfection! Dewey’s will go the extra mile to keep their customers coming back! Highly recommend!!!
