There seems to be a difference between the Overland Park and Leawood locations. The Leawood location is much better, not only in my opinion. I waited a long time in OP for a BLT and there were only two other people sitting together in a booth. The BLT was put in a clear plastic container so it made the bread soggy and the bacon was greasy. I had written this restaurant off years ago until I went to the one in Leawood. I never rate lower than 3 stars because we a have off days.
For 4 people4- drinks2 - chicken noodle soup (practically water)1 - Mac and cheese ( no bread crumbs)1 - ham and Swiss ( no mustard)2 - cookies1 - bunt cake54 dollars and change. The picture is after the glob of mustard was wiped off. Tried to just deal with it and move on. When mustard overpowered everything else it becomes inedible.Went back and said it was not suppose to have mustard. The lady upfront said she had to check with the kitchen if they would remake it. Another sandwich came out with more mustard.Kitchen was overheard talking about the sandwich being wrong and it has mustard on it before sending the sandwich again with more mustard. Needless to say the sandwich was left and never corrected.Needless to say if a kitchen is complaining about having to make the food agin and won’t make the sandwich without mustard - prob not a good thing.Be warned
Wonderful breakfast selection, including healthy choices. You order at the counter, take a number and the food comes to you. Very clean atmosphere, wonderful, friendly cashiers. My only wish is that there was one on the MO side where I live now.
I had the All American Scrambler and it was delicious! The staff is very friendly and it warmed up my heart while away from home :) the only thing that I regret was ordering the White Chocolate Mint regular size I should’ve ordered the large one, cause it was very very good!!
I had the Commuter sandwich for a late lunch this week. The cook did an outstanding job, it was perfect in every way, right down to the crispy bacon I asked for. Bravo! Now, if we could just get a Corner Bakery in the Northland.
Went to Corner Bakery every morning for three consecutive days the week of March 27th. There was a very friendly lady in the dining room talking to guests, cleaning, etc. The service was great, staff very friendly. I left my scarf and the next day inquired and the dining lady brought it to me nicely folded. Food and coffee were great. Thanks for making our mornings get off to a great start.
Fresh made soups, sandwiches, and salads. Love the soup with a side of bread. Lots of delicious bakery items. Makes it difficult to choose! Variety of coffees and teas too. Very clean restaurant and friendly staff. Love dining outside with the fireplace.
We visited the morning of 3/25/22 and had pancakes, cinnamon coffee cake and a chocolate muffin between the 3 of us. All very good. Also, and iced caramel coffee drink and a cup of hazelnut coffee also very good. We'd go back if they had one here in STL.
I can no longer recommend this franchise. Food is not prepared properly at least 90% of the time and their management team is rude. On 22-Mar-2022, I dined in and ordered the choose two: a Chicken Pomodori panini and the mac and cheese. I also ordered a cinnamon crumb muffin. The panini was made incorrectly (see menu description screen print). No tomato, no spinach, one piece of basil, and next to no chicken on the sandwich. The mac and cheese had red pepper flakes poured all over the top of it which has never been the case in the past, and the menu does not indicate the breadcrumbs have red pepper flakes mixed in them or that that menu item is spicy (see menu description screen print). Uneatable. The cinnamon crumb muffin was dried out. When I complained, a manager came to my table and argued with me saying the mac and cheese had always been made that way. Um, no. My gall bladder is sensitive to spicy food and has been for years. Again, the menu does not indicate the item is spicy and at no time in the past was it prepared this way. She argued with me despite advising her I had been eating there for well over 5 years and the item had never been prepared this way in the past. When I told her I didn't plan on coming back in the future, she walked away from my table and gave me a thumbs-up, implying she liked that I'm not coming back. Seriously. . . I talked to their district manager on duty, John Westermajer, and there was no apology for his manager's behavior. I only knew to ask for him because I had complained to him two years back when we had repeated problems at this location, including unresolved billing disputes. Instead, he tried to make me feel like I misinterpreted her behavior, yet he wasn't even there and didn't even know which manager I was referring to.
First time I have been here. My Bacon Avocado bowl was absolutely delicious. Very clean and friendly staff. Will definitely be going back.
