Party of 12 in town from Dallas County, TX.Seeking dinner after our 8 hour drive.Seating time greatly exceeded expectations. Our server was 2 weeks new to Cheddar's, but displayed great experience. When she learns the menu & drink order nuisances, she'll become a phenomenal asset to this location & the company. I didn't hear any complaints about the food quality or drink quality. GREAT VISIT?
Recently was in and had great service and food. Returned today June 18, 2022 around 2pm with other family since we had just raved to highly about this place and we didn’t even make it past the wait line. Yes it’s Saturday and that’s understandable but the hostess neither of them could find our name for awhile only after seating other parties who had came in after us with the same number of people in their group. Hostess need to work on their space and time management skills and communication.
The food was excellent, and the manager was very kind and welcoming. However the service we received from our waitress was very displeasing. Not only do I think she added money to my original tip, but I think the manager walked by our table more than she did… I understand nobody is perfect when it comes to being a waiter or waitress, but I feel as if our waitress treated us differently than other tables because our table consisted of young adults.
Good and not so good. My wife refused to complain, but said she would say something if the waitress asked how it was, which she didn't.I had the grilled whitefish with broccoli casserole and green beans as sides. I thought my meal was very good! The fish was blackened and had great flavor for being a fairly non-descript fish. Green beans were very flavorful with a good bacony taste! Broccoli-Cheese casserole was also excellent (I love broccoli anyway!) Even though I should have paid more attention to the menu because I was trying to avoid rice, since I'm diabetic. But the casserole didn't have too much rice in it, so it worked out. Overall, I'd give 4 out of 5 stars to my meal. My wife had the Country Fried steak, which comes with mashed potatoes and green beans (same beans I had). Her Country Fried Steak was not good. Tough to cut and chew, and when my wife peeled away the breading it appeared that the "steak" had been cooked once before and then breaded and deep fried. She maybe took three bites and then quit eating it. I attached a picture of the overcooked meat.
Currently at Overland Park Kansas restaurant and they just literally handed my four year old this burger, luckily it opened and I happened to see it. I asked the server if that’s how they make their cheeseburger but instead she offered to have the manager talk to me. The manager just came to talk to me with the most worst attitude I have never seen. I have never felt so belittled in front of my kids. I questioned the manager about the cheeseburger but she said they have been so busy and apparently, “that’s how we are doing it today” . The manager just asked me to leave her store and she will not be serving us again today. Being black is hard in Cheddar’s scratch kitchen for sure. The racism I just faced here is unbelievable.
Had a great time with my siblings for my birthday. Our server was awesome!!! We serenaded him but he really didn't know a lot about old school music. One of my sisters food was not up to par and they just removed it from the bill, so that was great. Maybe they were just having an off night or they didn't have enough help in the kitchen but the food was not as great as other times.
Our server was very pleasant. I love the croissants served with the meal. The food was just ok. Nothing I'd look forward to getting again. Disappointed they use margarine. It's gross. There's plenty of parking. Accessible parking, entrance and restrooms.
Food was delicious. Our server was either new or just having a bad night. Took 35 minutes to get a beer. Brought out the wrong plate of food didn't bring out the salad till we were done with dinner. My daughter had alfredo and he just brought her noodles without any sauce. Took literally 10 minutes of everyone else having their food before we got the sauce. My husband ordered a steak medium rare. And it came out completely rare . It was a bad night all around
Food was good and pretty reasonably priced. Service was bad. Ordered 3 items & only got 2 of them (the third wasn't on my bill though so it could've been worse). Hurt the meal a lot as it was an appetizer I was really looking forward to trying. Very rare to get a refill and on the 2 refills I got (had to flag my server down for the second one even though he was standing right in front of me for a long time) the cup was about 2/3 full and the wrong flavor the second time. Wasn't given any silverware or napkins or ketchup, was never asked how it was or if I wanted anything else etc. Had to eat a side with my fingers you're supposed to eat with a fork. I liked the food but wouldn't go again because I ordered dry salty food then spent the meal thirsty & didn't get one of the main items I came in to try even though I ordered it. Server didn't write down my order or look at me while I told him what I wanted so I guess he just wasn't paying attention to me. Common theme of the meal. I didn't have the heart to not tip, but the service kind of ruined the experience.Going back in time I'd have rather gone to a fast food restaurant, when you go to a restaurant where they work for tips by yourself you usually get substandard service and are rushed out the door. It wasn't busy or anything though and I've waited tables before so I know it isn't backbreaking work to refill an empty cup and pay attention to basic things.I will say I was almost shocked how fast my food was ready so kudos to the kitchen.
We went for my daughter's birthday dinner. The staff was nice, even though it was quite a few people. We killed time at the mall. My daughter was able to call to find out where we were in line. It was an enjoyable time.
