A yummy cross of Thai and BBQ food. I've tried many items on the menu and I have been left mind blown each time. My favorite appetizers are the egg rolls and dumplings if you are looking for a good recommendation. The staff are always so friendly. One of my new favorite restaurants and I will definitely be back again!
Overall 8.4/10New restaurant that came to play. This new style Thai-bbq mash up is a definite hit. This place has a lot of classic Thai dishes mixed with flavor packed bbq. Smokey, rich, and jam packed so much flavor this place is a must visit for Thai and bbq lovers both. The restaurant is a low lit yet elegant design with lots of seating and open bar. I ordered the BBQ Phad see eaw with brisket and what a combo. Also ordered the tiger cry beef ribs which were a great intro. Also tried the banh mi which was a delicious combination of flavor. If you are in the downtown overland Park area I would highly recommend adding this place to try on your next night out.
Tried Buck Tui BBQ for the first time and it was fantastic! We ordered Kow Tord Fritters, brisket egg rolls, and Sausage dumplings for appetizers and all were delicious. We ordered the Buck Tui BBQ Platter and it did not disappoint! I the platter allowed us to try just about everything - brisket, pulled pork, chicken, sausage, house made pickles, mac and cheese, jasmine rice, papaya slaw, bbq sauce, and tiger cry sauce. The cocktails were perfect with our meal too! Service was terrific as well and the dining room was comfortable. We all agreed that it was some of the best bbq in KC.
Great food. Good atmosphere. Ribs are great. Rice with cilantro and pineapple was and added treat. Great sauces and of course try some of their hottest. Lil pricey but overall a great night out.
Very fun experience! My husband and I went on a date here for the first time and it was really nice. The presentation is a 10/10 everything looks beautiful! The brisket egg rolls were amazing. Will be coming back.
For $20 a plate, you'll find better BBQ with larger portions at a better price ANYWHERE else in Kansas City.We ordered a meat combo for each of us and we had brisket, pork, & shrimp to try. The pork was pretty good, smoky and juicy. The brisket was extremely dry & REALLY TOUGH. The worst brisket I've tried in KC. The shrimp was kind of fishy (probably suppliers fault not the restaurant) and it was not well deveined. The music inside is LOOOUD. If you like that environment great but it isn't for me. We had poor service with the waiter only checking on us once (no water during the meal) & were told upon arrival we can't sit outside despite a couple people eating outside already.
The wait staff was awesome as the servers help each other out. The food was a very nice blend of fusion Thai and BBQ! The flavors mixed right and the portions seemed well done. I had the Ribs and rice, sorry I forgot the name but the pineapple was used as the bowl for the rice and was as good as I remember when I had the rice in Thailand! The price was what I expected for the quality! I definitely will be back to try the sausage as others have raved about it!
It's extremely hard to get five stars in my eyes, but the team at abuck Tui did just that.We have been a huge fan of Pam Liberda and Teddy Liberda for years now. My wife and and I request Waldo Thai monthly. We have become decent friends with everyone. When we got word that Teddy was going to combine the flavors of Northeastern Thai and Kansas City BBQ we were extremely excited. As you pull into the parking lot you cab instantly smell the amazing BBQ.Recently we were able to celebrate Songkran Festival. Celebrating Thai New Years with the joy of water. Everyone was there including the amazing Matsumoto Mari. Her cocktails are heavenly! The food, the service, the drinks and the staff were nothing short of fanominal. Keep up the great work!
My family and I came here for brunch and everything we had was incredible! We ordered the family feast for 4 and it was a perfect amount of food. We even had a lot left over! The service and atmosphere was great as well. We'll definitely be back.
Excellent. Ok, you have to go in open minded. It is what I would call American BBQ with Thai influences. The BBQ tasted great. The ribs were done just right. The rub was sweet with a slight hint of Thai. The brisket was cut to thick for me and it dried out on the platter, but had great flavor. The pulled pork was good, layered in the sweet sauce. I'm not a BBQ chicken fan but others loved it. The real winner was the Nachos. Well worth the trip. Will return for those alone. It is good BBQ without the molasses, which is fine with me.
