First off, the food was great. However, the BIGGEST and ONLY complaint was the area where you pick your protein, vegetables and sauce/spice area. There is a sign that states thess food stations are sanitized and cleaned on a regular...Mistruth. We were there for about an hour and not once did I see individuals change out the serving tongs clean them. The tongs and spoons used for the sauce were sticky and over used without cleaning them or changing them out regularly. It was gross. We were using napkins to make our portions and another pass through the line for 2nds was out of the question. Definitely need to adhere to the cleaning practices they have listed on food station glass as you approach. Scary what could come of germs in this day and age.
Food was delicious as always . The service left something to be desired though .
A funfilled experience. Food was fresh and plentiful. Healthy option, if you do it right. Very attentive wait staff. I'm making plans to return soon.
I went to the Independence location and the food was excellent. Here in Overland Park I had my food remade twice and both times it was BURNT! Even the crab rangoon was burnt too! I will never bring my family to this location again yuk!
Decently priced and good Mongolian style. My fav flavor mix is sweet soy and orange sauce mixed sooo good. Reminded me of traditional authentic chinese orange chicken. ? very satisfying. I would recommend just doing bowl menu items. Salad bar is general selection ,nothing special.
Excellent customer service from when entering to table to buffet to Mongolian grill! The employees enjoy their time providing service to the customers. Pleasant atmosphere and clean. The food options are varied and deliciously prepared! There’s something for everyone to enjoy! Great experience, great service, great food. Sit on the tables near the bar area & you can watch sports on their wall-mounted tv, while you enjoy unlimited visits to the Mongolian grill!!
Comparing experiences between our dinner at the overland park location tonight verses past experiences at the Independence location was very different. While watching our food being cooked noticed one gentleman that seemed either new or lacking the drive to help out. Others seemed still new to cooking. Lines were 3 or 4 deep all the way around. One cook dropped his/her cooking wands so they took and rinsed them off with water when I expected they should have exchanged them. Didn't seem like enough oil was used so quite a bit of food stuck to the grill and some of our food would end up in other people's dinner as well. Waitress (Jessica) was very helpful with our situation and explains what we saw happen with our food. Didn't even try talking to her about the rest. Very busy night.
Family birthday dinner. Good variety of ingredients to be grilled. I personally did not feel that I was able to get enough in my bowl to be cooked to be worth it. But I saw others who were able to get much more to the grill. So it must take practice. All employees were pleasant. The handles on the ingredient dippers could have used more cleaning - some were sticky.
Don’t go here. No manager ever asked how anything was. Our nice server did and I told her I hardly ate anything because it was just not good. Which i didn’t yet still paid for it all. She was fine the cooks couldn’t be bothered to even mix your sauce. Burned my bfs food. I was looking for a manager to just walk by please I couldn’t even find one as we were leaving. Biggest waste of money I feel like I just ruined my one day off choosing this place for dinner. $ 15 for a vegetarian bowl smh tiny bowls I had to ask for two because by the time I woulda even made it through I would be so tired I wouldn’t even want a second bowl. I’m just so disappointed. I have been waiting to try this place too.
