My husband and I went for dinner last night after a movie (and being turned away at IHOP.) The service and food were phenomenal. The Bourbon Street shrimp was served on a cast iron skillet and stayed hot through the entire meal. Victoria F helped guide me through the menu with great suggestions as I am low carb. We will definitely be back in hopes of getting her again. Great experience.

Service was VERY good, the server was extremely kind and attentive. Where it fell down was that the food was overcooked. We both had grilled chicken (mine was with shrimp); both chickens were dry and a bit chewy. Also my wife had green beans — also overcooked. What made me go from three stars to four was that the server took the concerns seriously and was going to go to the kitchen to address it and throw out that batch.

First of i will mention that this place was VERY short staffed. But not in a negative way. Our server KILLED IT with helping our very large party of people (10+ people) including that they were also helping several other tables AND the bar. You guys KILLED IT. I was very impressed and thankful for the strong effort put in. Thank you all for your hard work!!

The restaurant was very short staffed. The guy in the dining room was doing everything. He was really running his tail and apologizing profusely to everyone there. I felt sorry for him. The food was still great. I was worried because we got there shortly after 11 with a midnight closure. It took 20 minutes to be seated because that poor guy was trying to do catch up. The girl in the bar didn't help. I saw 3 people leave while waiting. I was afraid the kitchen would hate us because we had waited so long to be seated and then get our order taken; but that didn't appear to be the case as the food was fine. I sure hope they get that young man some help soon.

Applebee's needs to step up there game. The food was OK at best and the beer selection is a 5/10. What was really weird was how freely the staff talk about internal issues in front of patrons who they don't know. There was a gentlemen in there who appeared to be a manager talking about a particular food item that was super simplistic to make and couldn't believe how much they charged for it. It gave me the impression that the food being cooked is fast food and just a reheated dish. Very odd!

We got here and got seated down very rudely. The guy just threw the menus on the table and left. When we received the food he didn’t ask if we need anything just put the plates on the table and walked off. I asked for no ranch and my food came with a cup of ranch that had spilled all over my plate. Just rude and unprofessional.

Worst Applebee's ever. Server was terrible. It took 20 mins to get our drinks this was at 930 pm when there hardly anyone there. Our appetizer came first.. no appetizer plates offered... and our meal was mediocre. Bourbon street chicken and shrimp...mashed potatoes were cold, the shrimp was okay but not properly seasoned, as this is a dish we get every single time we go...I did manage to snap a picture of the chicken, which was dry and clearly no seasoning anywhere. Not to mention when it was time to pay, we were given our check and then had to ask the bartender where our waitress was in order to leave.

Wow, could not believe what happened here last night. I took my wife here, was her birthday and we were visiting here for a family emergency earlier that day. Saw people walking out in disgust?? Went in and the manager had this young teenager telling people they are not taking customers anymore because they had a group of 40 come in and could not handle things. First, whoever you are as a manager, go up to the front yourself and take the brunt of others being disappointed rather than throwing this young girl to the wolves. Second, how do you just "close" to customers on a Saturday evening? Unbelievable.

Like all Applebee's, this one tries to be community orientated. Being in a military town, it had photos of cadets and the local events.Decent friendly place for an early breakfast late lunch.Excellent waiting staff, I do recommend.

We were here on a business trip and it happened to snow. Apparently Kansas City closes down when a little white stuff touches the ground. We looked for restaurants for about 30 minutes before we saw this Applebees was the only place open. I’ve never been a huge fan of their food but it was the only place actually open. We decided to say screw it and see what happens. When we got in, there was only one lady who was serving everyone in the restaurant because her whole staff decided to not show up due to the “snow.” She was absolutely doing amazing! There was probably about 15-20 tables she was taking care of. I have never seen a waitress so overwhelmed but still absolutely rocking it! I wish I would have remembered her name. She needs the biggest raise for her work ethic! Even the food came out hot and good. She was also doing the bartending and our drinks came out great as well!
