I've tried this restaurant many many times over the years. Unfortunately I'm typically not impressed. That said, it's been here for a pretty long time. So I'm guessing it just may not be for me?
I was dining with a friend who had some dietary restrictions. Our waitress was extraordinarily understanding and very helpful! The decor is fun, and perfect for sports fans who like a bit of a laugh.
We ordered the Taco Bar for 25 people. Food was ready when picked up. Hot and fresh, and generous portions! Everything was well put together and organized. Extra points for doing all of this for us on Cinco de Mayo! We've used Salty Iguana before for our office events. We'll be back!
Loved the bright and fun atmosphere. The staff was attentive and the food and drinks were very good. We will go back when in the area.
Food and prices are decent. The wait staff is absolutely amazing and on top of their duties. We never had more than half-empty drinks, chips, or salsa.

We were seated in a booth where the light above had no bulb making it very difficult to read menu. Our server was also the bartender. She was kept busy. We never received waters.This has always been a favorite place. Somewhat disappointed.
If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. The service was absolutely awful. There was a wait when we arrived which was fine minus the fact they sat multiple groups who came in after us before us. The hosts seemed lost and couldn’t keep up. When we finally got sat and ordered our food we never got checked on by our server. Went over 30 minutes without anything to drink, no more chips no salsa and our appetizer (the iguana dip) that we ordered never arrived either. There is no excuse for the lack of service and attention to customers.I would never waist another moment here. Shame on the staff and management for allowing this to happen.If you want Mexican food and like salty iguana I highly recommend you driving the distance to the Independence location as the customer service is 1000% better. Don’t waist your time at this location.
I think they have changed hands. The menu was different and the food was not as good as it had been. Like other places very short staffed. Sad I was so looking forward to their delicious cheese and chips. Cheese was good but chips were out of a bag and not even warm. Won’t be back
The food used to be so good... The taco meat had no flavor and was dried out. The rice was hard and crunchy. The chicken was ok. And, the cheese dip was good but wasn't very warm. The chips and salsa were great. Our waitress was very sweet!
