Great place to go if you like getting side-eyed by 10 different workers that have no interest in serving any customer that walks in there. Popeyes has fantastic chicken but it's not really worth it when you have to wait an hour for somebody to put any effort into actually getting you your food. But hey at least they were eating food straight off the line themselves and constantly cussing at each other. That makes for an enjoyable experience I get the feeling this location just doesn't even have a manager because anybody that cared about that store would absolutely shut down that entire group of people.
Waited in drive thu line over 12 minutes. 9 of those at the window while multiple staff could be seen playing on their phones & the F bomb was flowing freely. Kid at window asked what I ordered. After approx 3 minutes, comes back hands me my drink & asked if I ordered a 5 piece. No, I ordered a 3 piece with coleslaw. 4 minutes later, ask me if he had given me my drink. Yes. And you had a 3 piece? What side? Coleslaw. No, sorry for your wait or even a thank you when food finally handed to me. No straw for my drink, no utensils for my coleslaw, no napkins. Employees with their hats on sideways looking like wanna-be gangsters. Won't ever go back.
If only the red beans and rice in the pic was the Cajun rice that this location quit selling. The chicken was fresh, crispy and tender but no Cajun rice. Why was it removed from menu?
Good: Spicy chicken sandwich was on point.Bad: Employees need to be presentable (pull pants up, hat somewhat square to head).Bathroom needs to be cleaned once and a while.All the trash cans were full.
Went in today had a very large order. The entire crew worked together to get me in and out in a very timely manner. Staff worked as a team and were extremely friendly. Thank you for making my experience great..wonderful job!!
Ordered the Tackle Box, which is currently being advertised on TV. The ad says it includes 8 shrimp but I only received 4. Also, the actual shrimp is about half the size of that shown in the ad (using a person's hand for scale). Also, it's breaded and fried, but the tail is still on, so you have to figure out where the tail starts to avoid biting into the shell.The Mac & Cheese was more like Cheese & Mac and the cheese sauce had separated. It was OK, but not great.The biscuit appears to be doused in butter, but tastes more like margarine. At least I got a packet of honey which helped. They don't even begin to compare to the homemade biscuits you used to get at KFC (I don't know if they're still homemade).Overall, I was disappointed. Big fat bummer.
Tried it for the first time to check out their fish sandwiches and service was disappointing. Mobile order but didn't get any of the sauces nor any straws for the drinks. Had to ask for a carrier when there were handful of drinks. No courtesy on asking if you need anything else...just hand offs and onto the next one after waiting in drive thru for 20 mins for a mobile order. Not worth it unless someone really likes their food...
Okay. I get it now. I went quite a few years ignoring all the hype about the spicy chicken sandwich and never tried it at Popeyes. I've had it from many other places and they've all been pretty good, except for McDonald's, which was blah...This was definitely much better than all the others. And trust me, my wife and I are huge fans of Chick-fil-A. But the crispness on the Popeye's Spicy Chicken Sandwich was something else. And the spiciness was perfect for me and our youngest son. My wife says she won't have the spicy again, but she will definitely have the chicken sandwich again from Popeyes.
I had ordered spicy dark meat through the drive through, since the walk in is not open (sucks) got around the corner, opened it and it was not what I ordered. It was a breast and a small piece of something small as a baby fist and you could see none of it was spicy.I had to sit in the drive through again to let them know that this was wrong. She told me to pitch it, no problem, but she said to sit out front and it would be 12 minutes for spicy dark meat. I waited 20 and called. . I love Popeye chicken, Love, but they have horrible customer service here.
First time I've ever been to Popeye's. Drive through was SOOO slow. Ordering was harder than necessary because their microphone doesn't work well. Surprised that a relatively new restaurant doesn't have a display showing my order to confirm they entered it correctly. I had a spicy chicken sandwich and Cajun fries and I'd say it was good but not great. Also surprised they throw all the fries in the bottom of the bag. I will likely not return, and when I pick fast food I'll go to Wendy's or Culver's.
