Our family has been here quite a bit and was always a lovely experience. We'd tip more than usual and even leave notes on the receipts about how much we appreciated them. I was even recommending them to someone nearby the other day, but now I don't know if I can set foot in here ever again...We were just trying to figure out what we were going to do after we were told we couldn't seat ourselves (as a sign said) for an hour, but then we were told 30 minutes by the next staff member (so what is it? Should we wait? Should we get a to go order?). Then my 5 year old son accidentally knocked over the "seat yourself" sign and they kicked us all out because we were "being too distracting". Made my son cry. We were just shocked. We've been here before and never been treated like this. Incredibly rude and disrespectful staff. I don't recall ever being treated this way at any restaurant, ever.In fact I can't recall ever being kicked out of any place in my life, especially when we're just trying to give them our business with the conflicting information we were given, and trying to figure out what we were going to with our two young children in tow in a civil manner. Well, after many years, I guess they never want our business again.I'm still just flabbergasted by this hours later.
Some of the best pizza in KC. Staff is young, but always friendly. Pizza crust is always crispy and sauce is excellent
Pizza was good but a little over cooked. Might have been trying to keep it warm for pick up.
Have never eaten here. Tried to get spaghetti to go 30 min before they close and they told me I’m too late to order. Change your hours if you’re not willing to let anybody order to go items.

Came tonight for a visit while back in town after a 2-year hiatus from the place. Got the 5:30 pm early bird service treatment on arrival. Seated immediately with menus and waters brought to the table promptly. The place was a little quiet and first impression was that it was very clean. Spotted the Shoppe house salad on the menu and opted to order it accompanied by the famous “pink stuff” dressing. We chose the King 14” butcher block pizza for our main entree for the evening. The salads were brought almost immediately after placing our order. & it took approximately 15-20 minutes before our pizza was brought to our table. The pizza came to the table smoking hot and it had the most wonderful & unique flavor. The staff did an excellent job catering to our needs throughout the meal. I highly recommend giving this local enterprise an opportunity when in the area to break away from your traditional chain pizza. You’ll be more than happy you did.
There was a problem with our order, but management made it right with no problems. Nice atmosphere, the music was amazing!
