Brisket was sliced thin, plenty of marble, good smokey flavor, & a decent bite. Original Bar-B-Que sauce was extra smokey with a little tang & medium-light pour. I first started coming here years ago and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. It is one of my favourite BBQ places in the USA. The food is consistently high quality and the taste is superior to most other BBQ restaurants. Always a solid choice
Delicious food, fast service, and everyone is always very friendly. Anything you get on the menu will be good. I've ordered takeout several times and have eaten in the restaurant, as well, and it's very fast and very clean.
Wow the best BBQ I ever had. Its like a well oiled machine from the time you order from the time you leave. Others need to take notes on how its done
Meat is well flavored and the normal sauce is a perfect KC style sweeter sauce. I had a limited edition Hawaiian pulled pork with pineapple and an onion ring. It was spectacular and the best pulled pork sandwich I've ever had. They also serve local beers and canned specialties. The line can be long during peak times but well worth it.
I'm not big on spicy food. I feel like I don't mind heat if the flavor calls for it, but they lean more to the spicy side, so for me personally, not my favorite, but the servers were very nice. The food came out warm and fresh. I got the Z-man and it was pretty good, once I put enough of the sweeter barbecue sauce on it. The amount of the sauce they add on it wasn't the right ratio of wet to dry ingredients. That's a delicate balance in my book. We had a large group from an all day meeting, so it would be nice if they had some sort of option that allowed us to make arrangements for seating or reservations, but they do not offer any option to cater towards these types of events. But everyone was very nice, and a lot of people in my group really enjoyed it, I just have a more discerning pallet, cause their beans got nothing on Jack Stack beans. And it's all about the beans to me.
Joe's KC always has great food! We have been going there for years and have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly and polite. They are attentive to you, when they start taking your order. I really appreciate that. The cleaning staff are always moving around in the seating area to be sure the tables and floor are clean and ready for the next customer. I usually get the pulled pork sandwich. It is one of my favorites. Their burnt ends are fabulous too! BUT, the best meat they have is their ribs. These things just fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. I highly recommend you go to Joe's KC. You won't be disappointed!!
Delicious food and the line moved fast despite being long! It was smart to separate the ordering from the cashier to keep the line moving. The employees were nice and I liked the layout of the restaurant.
Great food! Busy place. I ordered the lunch burnt end plate with Mac and cheese, my husband ordered the one meat dinner, turkey with baked beans. The only complaint he had were the texture of the onions in the beans. They had a lot of flavor otherwise. Mac and cheese was great. A little smokey, and creamy. It came out piping hot. I gave my husband a little heck for ordering turkey but soon ate my words, it was delicious, tender, smokey, sliced thin. The burnt ends were very tender. Sauces were great. Husband wished they had a hotter one. I thought they were pretty sweet, but had a lot of flavor to balance it out.
