Fantastic food for a very reasonable price and wonderful service. The hot pots were phenomenal and I hurt myself eating so much because it was too good. The calamari is some of the best I have ever had and the wonton soup was excellent on such a gloomy day. This will now be a regular for our family. We can't wait to try more! Would have taken pictures but the food was gone in a flash. 10/10
I am so excited to have found a great Chinese food restaurant in the area. We got Singapore noodles, general Taos chicken and crab rangoons. It was all 10/10!! This is definitely our new go to spot.
So my second visit to Hong Kong Star gets the perfect 5 ?. The greeting was warm and welcoming. The waiter was fast when said we were hungry and got appetizers out to us quick. I invited a friend that had never been and he just couldn't stop saying "how fresh" everything was. We laughed at how happy we were that we didn't go to the buffet like the 3rd friend had suggested. When my meal is this good, the employees happy and the restaurant is clean it gets the 5 ? every time ❤️
Best and most authentic Chinese food I have eaten. Better than what I have had Dc’s china town . Crispy fried chicken is just heavenly. Hot pots are must try. Noodles amazing. Such an amazing food from such an unassuming restaurant. When you walk in, you know instantly that you are in a treat.
Absolutely the best. Chinese food I’ve found in Olathe.vegetables were cooked perfectly not limp and the shrimp tasted like fresh caught. Small mom and pop type place and very welcoming. Second timer there and will be a regular.
Very good, authentic tasting Chinese food. A staple of Hong Kong food is beef chow fun, and it was very good here. Chinese sausage egg fried rice, which is like comfort food to me, was also very good. All in all a solid, authentic Chinese restaurant, coming from a Chinese American man.
Actually very good, high quality Chinese food. It's above Chinese restaurants places I have been to with very fast service. Hong Kong Star is the place I would go if I were to go out to eat Chinese food.
Delicious! I really like their salt and pepper squid, scallops, and shrimp and their supreme soy sauce chow mein. Their egg rolls and hot and sour soup are decent (not the best I have had but still good).My boyfriend likes their general Tso's chicken and the orange chicken was pretty good if you are looking for more American-style Chinese dishes.
Good tasting food. If you order to go remember to ask for napkins and utensils they don't automatically provide.
We found this place by accident. Turns out they have great ratings and excellent reviews. We were very pleased with our meal. The food is fantastic.
