the food was good and the staff w was good
We ordered the Fajita Taco Salad with steak, it hardly had any steak and the little bit it had was overcooked and chewy. It supposedly brings a cheese dip on top but it was soaked looked like soup. We told our server who says he has more than 10yrs doing his job but was correcting me about the way the salad should look. Needless to say I'm not going back they give bad tasting food and poor service. My husband's food was also not tasty.
the service was amazing but the food not so good. We have been back a couple of times since the reopen but have not been impressed with the food. I ordered the shrimp chimichanga this last time and the burrito was soggy.
12 at our table. My steak ranchero looked ( and tasted like a cheap steak with tomato sauce poured on it. I don't know, maybe authentic steak ranchero is just tomato sauce poured over steak. My wife had a steak C???? It tasted alright xcept the cheap cut. I know because she was full and I started to finish it for her. She said " is this sour?" I tasted it and it seemed fine. Then I tasted a sour part. I guess that the steak was right on the edge but it ( not the seasoning) was sour. After we left I heard very negative descriptions of the meal " crappy" " discusting" Not my words!....but, yeah, sounds about right.
I am an over the road truck driver and broke down going through Olathe, KS. Had my truck towed to Kenworth and after having a horrible last 2 days needed some great food and hospitality. Well this restaurant was exactly what I needed. The staff went above and beyond with hospitality and kindness. The food was tremendously GREAT! I will definitely return to this location. Thank you so much for your kindness when I was at my last straw. The hotel had roaches and ants. Domino’s, after ordering 2 hours later for delivery, called me asking me if I could come pick up my pizza before the delivery driver got off from work. I chose to cancel my order. Thank you Chapala for everything!
We are so happy the new Chapala location is open!! We were able to go the first week at the new location and everything was excellent. The chips/salsa, queso, guacamole Mexicano, Jalisco fajitas were all so so good! The margaritas are the best in town and we were so happy to enjoy those again. Service was as great as ever and the new place looks very nice!
Food is still good. Ate there last night but their margaritas got really expensive. We ordered 2 house margs, they said they have two sizes , we asked for the smaller one and they were $20 plus tax!
Sunday 04.03.2022The remodel is great. Glad they are finally open again. We missed you Chapala. Today was as the first day of the soft open. They are still little under staffed and the wait was long, but it was more than worth the wait. We had the Jalisco fajitas. It had onions, a good amount of yellow, red and green peppers. There were 5 or 6 shrimp of a good size. Additionally there were strips of beef and chicken. The portions were a nice size. The flavors were amazing. Service was even good even though they were busy and stretched thin. We had a side plate with the rice, beans, sour cream, guac and pico with tiny bit of lettuce. All was cooked great. We will return and hope they get the staffing issues solved soon. If you have never been you need to go.
Excellent food & drinks! Sorry they are moving, but looking forward to their new location!!!! B
Hands down my favorite carne asada tacos. It's always too much for me to finish, but even the leftovers are good. The tables and chairs are colorful and vibrant. I do wish the rest of the restaurant matched that look though.
