Great food great service. my tacos Gordos were delicious and they had a pretty tasty Michelada as Well one of the best I’ve had in Kansas.
The only reason we can’t give this place 5 stars is because the service was alright and the mango margarita didn’t taste like mango at all. The alcohol content of the margarita was more than adequate though. The food was delicious! The salsa has a great flavor and a slow heat that builds up on you. I got the fajitas jacino and the meat to veggies ratio was superb. The plate was 3/4 meat and 1/4 veggies. The flavor across the board was fantastic. Will definitely come back again for the food.
Worse Authentic Mexican experience ever! I love love Authentic Mexican and have had many restaurants, in multiple states and countries. I normally base my feel of how the food will taste based on the salsa. I should have taken the hint. The salsa tasted like tomato soup with onions and very little cilantro. That was just the start.My sister ordered shrimp enchiladas. When brought to the table she had a beef enchilada with the shrimp placed on top. Our waitress said “that is how we make our enchiladas here”. Never have we received shrimp on top of the enchilada.I ordered the Lunch #1, which was a taco, chili releno, rice and beans. When delivered to me there were two tacos rice and beans. I informed her that I had the Lunch #1. Taco, chili releno, rice and beans. She took it back to the kitchen. 5 minutes later she came back to say, “my manager said we ran out of chili relenos that’s why you have two tacos”. I think that should have been made known to me prior to them just “assuming” that I wanted a taco as a substitute for the chili releno that they were out of.Finally my daughters friend ordered the Mexican fajitas. They were luke warm not sizzling at all.This was THE WORSE!!! NEVER AGAIN
Terrible service. Harassing the customers to leave because they closed the kitchen in a half hour. I have never been disrespected from a food place in my life. Very rude and were telling us we need to leave. I will never be buying food from here again or my entire party. Very disrespectful!!
Food was below average. Our server Misael thought it was a funny game to steal tables from the bartender and fellow female server who had combined tables, seated and provided menues. Only our server could check us out so had to wait on him. Poor teamwork, food wasn't great, hard to watch the mistreatment of coworkers.
The food was bland, and all the meat was dry. The spanish rice is flavorless red rice. We got the burrito patron and enchiladas sumprimas. Minimal seasoning and seriously the meat was so dry.

I wish I could give 0 stars. First of all, I'm trying to decide why people still go to this restaurant when I'm about to post the tenth review of being ignored. Last night I took my daughter and her friends to Gordo's. Our party, along with two other parties, were never even acknowledged. Servers and bus staff and bartenders came and went and looked right at us and did nothing. Finally after about ten minutes, I asked the bartender if we should seat ourselves. She said someone would be right with us. After ten more minutes of the same, we walked out. They were basically telling us to leave without telling us.It sounds like we dodged a bullet anyway after reading the horror stories of food taking forever, bills being wrong, and horrible experiences in general. Either the owner doesn't read the reviews, or doesn't care. He/she should be ashamed and embarrassed.
Quick service and great food! Tacos Gordos are up there with my favorite tacos!
