Topeka big biscuit has half empty restaurant but informed there would be a wait of 15-20 minutes. If your not going to seat your open tables might as well take them out. Absolutely infuriating to watch staff standing around doing nothing but having conversations while people wait to be seated. I can see 5 employees doing nothing, maybe you should fire half your lazy staff and remove half your tables.
Food was good as always! However this location has one of those big exposed metal work ceilings which echoes the noise level. Makes it hard to hear a conversation across the table (Even waitress had a hard time hearing our requests). Restaurant layout is just not comfortable and welcoming. Prefer their other locations with a "normal" low, quiet ceiling and better seating arrangement. Leave this location for the rowdy young people.
cinnamon pancakes big as a dinner plate. biscuits are what my dad called catheads. my eyes were too big, are the pancakes and took my biscuit and gravy to work. food was delicious. this was my first visit and will go again.
Awful service. They brought out only half of our order and everyone else was finished eating before we got the rest of our food. Waffles were ice cold.
Our group of 20+ (with reservations) stopped here for lunch. Very well organized and the service was good for a large group. We split The Kitchen Sink, and couldn't finish it. Some had the tenderloin and they were all rave reviews.
Great service, really quick with to go orders. No wait to sit. Food is delicious and flavorful and you really get the best bang for your buck! Highly recommend for a breakfast or brunch when u want to sit and eat somewhere. Will definitely be coming back!
All the options are plenty or too much food, so you won't go hungry. The biscuits are excellent and the service was friendly. The only issue was we had a large group and they brought out half our food along with the food for the group next to us that ordered after us, then the rest of our group's food took 5+ minutes.
Wonderful atmosphere, helpful staff. Manager Joe was extremely helpful. And our server Mercedes was above and beyond helpful. She made us smile many times during our visit and we will return again requesting her as our server
Walked in on a Saturday and grabbed a seat at the bar because we didn’t want to wait, and there was no one sitting at the bar. When we sat down it took about 7 mins to get the bar cleared and wiped down in front of us, but the remainder of the time we were there the remaining 6 seats at the bar were never completely cleared or wiped down. I could understand because the waitress working the bar and front section was swamped… what I don’t understand is why a man whom looked to be the manager and 2 teenage hostesses stood at the front podium laughing joking and on their phone while this poor waitress struggled waiting 4 tables and us while running her own food. I understand that everyone has a job, but I also understand a manager it is your job to make sure your whole staff is being successful… definitely reflects badly on the restaurant
long wait time but they were short of staff and we understood so we got a menu to look over while we waited. once seated we were ready to order which was easy because the waiterwas very friendly and on top of it. food arrived promptly and was delicious! would definitely come back again!
