Great atmosphere. This family run restaurant featuring authentic Cantonese cuisine has a menu with plenty of options. Featured below is the Cantonese Roasted Duck, BBQ pork, Egg Drop Soup, and General Tso's Chicken. I always appreciate restaurants that do substitutions when one does not want carbs; did not need subs here as rice was ordered separately which I appreciated. Will return.
The food here is delicious. I dined in late afternoon (2pm) so it was not busy. Service was great. Tables, restroom, restaurant in general was very clean. Location is great too. It was easy to find and is right off I-35 & 95th. There is also a room that you can probably RSVP that holds about 20-ish people. I came here for the roasted pork belly, but I ordered other dishes to try. Lots of authentic dishes. I was very satisfied. This would be great place if you want to explore more authentic dishes while still having the option for the “Americanized” Chinese food.
Wow! I'm impressed with this place. The Pork belly, Char Siu and Roasted Duck is pretty darn good!! We got the BBQ 2 combination bowl. Pick of two meats. All 3 meats were juicy & tender. Not dry. The flavor is there too. Sweet and not overly salty. It's as comparable to FUFU Shack in Las Vegas or New Duong Son BBQ in Westminster, CA. I would definitely recommend this place. Finally we found a place in KC that we can go to. I'm so happy.

Monkey king BBQ and Noodle was by far the best cantonese/Chinese food I have ever had. It was fresh, well prepped, great atmosphere, and the employees were extremely friendly and welcoming! I HIGHLY recommend this place!
Best Roasted Duck and Pork Belly. I used to work at a authentic Cantonese. Actually my first was at Rice Bowl (Wisconsin) Monkey King is about the closes to them beside Monkey King don't make egg fu young. Just love thier food
One of the best Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the area.Rice flat noodles was cooked to perfection with tender beef.Bbq pork,roast duck/pork were also good.Overall we enjoyed everything we ordered.Highly recommend it
Incredible! Located in a small nook, it can be hard to miss and even a bit awkward to swing into the area itself but I can assure you it’s a diamond in the rough. Everything is absolutely delicious and friends and family will all enjoy.
