I travel for work so I have the opportunity to experience a lot of different restaurants. I love trying new places. I understand that today's environment poses staff shortage challenges so service delays and even friendly customer service is not the norm. However, my experience at Grinders literally blew me away. From the hostess to the bar staff to the wait staff, they were friendly, they were attentive and they made me feel welcome. The food and drinks were also amazing. They were quick to serve and collaboratively checked on me often. I will be back every time I'm in town.

Apparently, they only hire the best human beings on the planet to work here. The atmosphere is amazing, the food will make you believe in God, and they have a great selection of craft beers. I would recommend ordering off menu and filling your stomach with the Golden Philly. It's a perfectly balanced game changer sandwich. If I was rich I would eat it for every meal for the rest of my life.
Absolutely love Grinders. Had the special Burnt End Cheesesteak with extra meat and it was the bomb! Love the crinkle cut fries and the eclectic artsy vibe. Cool place, great food.
Pick up order. Food was okay - pretzel was good but they forgot the side of cheese that they charge extra for, forgot the dipping sauce for the tenders, wings and Philly were just okay. Called about missing sauces and they didn't seem to care much. So much for accurate ordering on the website.
We love Grinders. Great place to take my family my five year old especially likes it here. Love it when there is live music. I can’t think of a better atmosphere around the area. I don’t know how to explain it right, but I always feel so welcome here. It kinda feels like a place I would have hung out at in my twenties yet somehow manages to be a great place to take your kids. Everything we have tried on the menu has ranged from very good to excellent.
Grinders is an edgy bar and grill. The Stonewall location is in a former pizza joint beloved by many. This location has a fun inside atmosphere and a really nice outdoor area where during the summer live music is played. The food itself is slightly above average for bar food. It used to be better, but in recent years has become less tasty. There's also a location in Kansas City, MO and was visited by Diner's, Drive-Ins and Dives from the Food Network, no clue if the food quality at that location has declined. If you're in Lenexa and looking for a fun atmosphere and bar food then give it a shot.
Definitely recommend if you like thin crust pizza. The staff was nice and the atmosphere is different than just about anywhere else you will visit.Pizza by the slice is a great deal for lunch and the wings were delicious too.
