The experience here was solid, except for one issue. We were hoping to grab a seat at the bar, only to find about a third of the bar seats were taken by staff on their day off. It's super cool the bar is so well liked that they come, but wish they'd be mindful of it on the weekends.Otherwise the beers were on point. The food was good too. Fried pickles were alright, but often slipped off the breading. Might need a cornstarch dusting before battering so it sticks?Overall, we recommended this spot to some KC local friends and would definitely eat here again.
We dined on a Wednesday evening around 5:15.As it was still Happy Hour, I ordered a vodka gimmlet-well vodka. NOT good ?? Total waste of $. My husband enjoyed his draft beer.As the special for Wednesday is chicken, I ordered the Shroom and Swiss sandwich. My husband ordered the Fire Chicken sandwich. We both had french fries for our sides.Neither one of us enjoyed our chicken. Both of our chicken breasts were over cooked, very dry, and with little flavor. Didn't finish it. The fries were freshly cooked and hot, we both enjoyed them.We did have great service. We sat at the back of the bar and grill, and had to ask that our table be washed off as it was dirty. As neither of us used the restrooms, I can not comment on if they were clean or not.We hadn't dined at Brewbakers in a long time, as the last time we had extremely poor service. We had stood at the door to be seated for 15+ minutes with no one even greeting us, so we walked out. As it's been a long while since our last visit, (pre-Covid), we thought we would try this Brewbakers again. We will definitely forgo dining here in the future. ?Definitely would NOT recommend this Brewbakers Bar and Grill.
Nice place. Service was professional. Ambiance active and fun. They have games to play. Pool, darts, punching machine, game hunter. Good sized menu. Prices reasonable. Fried pickles good. Queso dip good. French dip sandwich good. Chicken sandwich and kc burger not good. Would give it another try bc the games were fun and some of the food we ordered was good as well.
I visited the one on 95th Street. I enjoyed the environment, the food, and the service; however, I was unimpressed with their selection of draft beers. Don't get me wrong, there a lot of choices, but most of them were your run-of-the-mill selection (light, blue moon, yakamaniak, bolivar wheat, ect). This is perfectly fine for most people, but I was looking forward to experiencing some new beers that I had never heard of before. Eventually, I did find one beer that fit this category, but I ended up spending $30 on three of them and they were only 12 oz. This is a small complaint, and I will definitely visit brewbakers again ??P.S order the truffle fries, you won't regret it ;)
Their food is either amazing or completely stale and disgusting. Tonight it was disgusting. Double cooked bacon cold stale fires, bruised lettuce, soggy onions. I had to take the bacon off because it tasted rotten, now my stomach hurts. I hope it’s just a placebo. I regret ordering from here, I should have learned my lesson first time this happened. I won’t be eating or drinking here again.
Our server was friendly and helpful, but our food (pub burger and French dip, which were recommended) were almost inedible.) I would not recommend for a meal, but could be a fun place to grab a beer and watch a game.
Brewbakers does one thing better then any other bar and grill of it's type.... The food, every item on the menu is amazing! And it's fast! I try a new item every time I go and have yet to be anything but thrilled with the taste of the food.
I joined a group of coworkers up there on a Thursday. My wife ordered a wine that was on happy hour for $4 a glass, I ordered a boulevard pint that was advertised at $3 a pint. Our check comes later and we were charged $6 a beer and $10 per glass of wine. The wind they charged us for wasn’t even on the menu either. I asked out server about the price discrepancy and he advised that boulevard nutcracker was not included in the $3 boulevard pints and he should have let us know that. He apologized for the mistake but could not honor the happy hour price of $3 a pint. He did admit that the wrong wine was rang in and instead of $10 a glass it really should have been $4/glass. This was our third mediocre experience in recent months so I just don’t care to try Brewbakers again. If you go, check your tab and ask questions if ordering an advertised special.
Great food, great service, great wine. Chicken tenders an waffle fries were amazing. Clean restrooms. FUN waitress. Very up beat!!!!!
Over the last two months I've ordered takeout 3 times. Each time was a pretty large order of dinners for 8 people. Each time the food was very good. But two of those times, I picked up the food and upon reaching home, discovered that significant parts of the order were missing. So, my dinner guests had to wait while I made a return trip to pick up the missing food. When I called and returned to pick up the missing food, the staff wasn't apologetic, simply told me to come back to pick up the rest of the order. My order was placed online and wasn't a confusing order. They just dropped the ball in not preparing all of it.Also, the order wasn't ready when promised even though my order was placed several hours in advance. Really no reason for this. I would like to give more stars because the food was good, but can't do it when I have to make multiple trips just to get all of my order. After giving Brewbakers multiple chances, I realize I'll have to go somewhere else in the future.
