We’ve been ordering Twisted Fresh since we moved to Lawrence in 2019. We’ve always been satisfied with the quality of food; however, the last couple of times we have gotten Twisted Fresh have been disappointing. We ordered my daughter a medium well burger last time (about 4-6 weeks ago) and it was definitely rare. This time we tried again and chose well done, and I’ll let you decide how it turned out (picture attached). We were not given any of the drinks we ordered and paid for, even after my husband asked if he needed to grab drinks from their fridge, but the employee said they were in the bag - they most definitely were not. They have changed the recipe on their potato salad which used to be a favorite for my husband. It just seems like there’s not a lot of effort going into the food or they’re not properly training people on recipes or how to prepare/package food. I ordered the shrimp tacos and there was way too much salsa on them (like triple what is normal), and they looked like they were just thrown in the container. The ingredients of the tacos were spilled all over the container. I normally don’t write reviews, but when we spend $50-$70 (family of 5), it’s pretty frustrating when our order has been wrong, missing items, poor quality, or incorrectly made the last few times we’ve ordered.
First time there. Was pleasantly surprised. Clean, friendly, and good portions. Will start making it a regular stop.
The food is usually pretty good & fresh & the service is usually friendly! However almost every single time I’ve ordered from here they forget to put something in the meal & some part of the order is wrong.Now they’ve raised prices & don’t give you a side (I understand- times are tough), but that should mean that the $10+ meal you are paying for has everything that should come with it. I’ve had to always double check my order after the first couple of times I’ve ordered from here unfortunately.Shoutout to Maurice for the customer service tonight & making it right when I noticed something missing on my salad.
In my opinion this is one of the best restaurants in town! I always order the Baja shrimp tacos and they are so delicious each and every time. Each time I visit I get a pleasant vibe, the staff is so friendly and welcoming.
DO NOT RECOMMEND! This place was good, but pricey for what you get. Today, I went and they shrunk the salad to an unacceptable size.
I was in today, was with a large party so we had to wait a long time, no big deal I can understand that. But there was some new chick working who I've never seen before, a blonde girl. Maybe she doesn't have prior customer service experience but she gave us a horrible impression. I am a regular here and haven't had this experience before, hopefully the new blonde cashier figures out how to work in customer service because I would definitely never come back if I hadn't already had great prior experiences here with the regular staff. The new girl was just snippy to everyone like she was angry that we were there and made us feel unwelcome, she also didn't change her gloves which almost stopped me from eating my food but I did give two stars because the food was really delicious, as always so at least that hasn't changed.

This place is spacious and inviting. I love the atmosphere. First visit, already hooked! The Baja Shrimp tacos are worth every penny. They were just the right kind of spicy and the creamy avocado lime sauce was an excellent pairing. And it was the perfect amount of food to enjoy all of it without feeling stuffed! The staff was nice, the cooks really know what they're doing, it was cool and fun to see literal fire coming off the grill while they cooked our food! My husband got the West coast wrap and says it was amazing too!
Rude to DoorDashers. The guy taking orders (dude with a ponytail) was rude and dismissive when I showed up for an order. He asked if I was there for a DoorDash, and I said yes, gave him the name, and in a dismissive tone of voice he said “it’s gonna be a minute”. I asked “does that mean 1 minute, or several?” He rolled his eyes, said “several “ then walked away. If I were his boss and witnessed that kind of behavior, I’d fire him on the spot. He gave an unrealistic lead time, which is why I was early, then acted like I was a burden to him. Total jerk.
So delicious! Ingredients were all so fresh and all wraps were unique combinations. Loved every single thing!
