Delivery was fast and hot... However, the chicken was so disgustingly gristly and full of black spots. I tried to eat it , but ended up having to throw it away, it was too nasty. The egg drop soup tasted like water. The Rangoon's were 90% fried bit and 5% cream cheese, and the fried bit was still pretty squishy, like it had been frozen. It was honestly some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had, and I spent $35 on it. I was very sad.
Who knew that KS would have a seafood spot that was this good. I'm a trucker and I've been on the road for week. All week I've had was food that was not good. I mean everyday was terrible. But this place gave me hope. I'm not a fan of boil bags but this place just changed my mind. My food was excellent and delicious. Hats off to this place and the cook who made this for me. If I'm ever within 50mi I'm coming through. Call wife and tell her I'm gonna be late cause I'm stopping by. Seriously delicious
Szechuan House has always provided me with excellent service! With so many fantastic Asian restaurants in Lawrence, I think I've discovered the one I'll remain with. I like that they provide both Americanized and traditional options. The seafood boil is among the greatest I've ever had, and it's undoubtedly the best in Lawrence. The owners, or whom I think they are based on their constant presence, have to be some of the most honest, hardworking people I've ever met. I will continue to support this company because they provide an excellent quality and have such a large selection that trying everything would take years.
I have always had a great experience with Szechuan house! With Lawrence offering so many good Asian restaurants I feel I have found the one I will stick with. I love that they offer Americanized options as well as traditional options. The seafood boil is some of the best I have had and probably the best in Lawrence. The owners or whom I assume based on them always being there have got to be some of the most down to earth hard working people ever. I will continue to support this business because they offer a good product and have a selection that would take years to try everything.
We’ve tried the cajun seafood boil multiple times and the Szechuan food, both are amazing! Always fresh, hot and flavorful. They’re very kind too, and the drive through is super convenient. Their Szechuan dan dan noodles are the best!
Ordered seafood from here. Got properly sick for two day starting about 3 hours after eating. DO NOT EAT HERE! Seriously, ordered for new years eve dinner. Staying in - so we wanted something different. Spent 2 days straight on the toilet with a trash can in front of me. It is now Sunday night and I have the time away from the toilet to write this. If you have a three day weekend you want to ruin, by all means order from here.

I have never liked any other Cajun food and I have been spectacle with this restaurant, BUT this Cajun experience I had with restaurant is REMARKABLE! I ordered a Cajun family platter with this restaurant and it is DELICIOUS! I also order an extra Cajun sauce, lemon pepper, old bay, and szcheuan house sauce special with this order for $1 each, for each sauce (and they gave me ALOT of sauce!) and it has not disappointed! Love this spot and I will be returning for my birthday because I crave seafood once a year and it has 100% satisfied!!!!
Horrible experience. Ordered the beef appetizer and didn’t come with rice as pictured. Also stone cold on arrival so looks like it was just pulled out of a refrigerator and delivered. That would explain the quick delivery time.
