I've been going to Rudy's over the years and it has never declined in service or quality and has only gotten better. Their wine based red sauce it amazing and don't overlook their pesto. Always kind and professional staff.
This is such a hard place to review. The vibe is spot on and everyone is friendly. The space is clean and it is reasonably priced. The unfortunate thing is that the pizza is really bad. I've given it multiple chances and it is just not good. The crust tastes like raw flour and it is served gummy, undercooked and a pale color. I've wondered about the local following, but I just don't get the appeal.
Good service and delicious pizza. Initially my order was a bit off but they fixed it asap. Loved it.
My friend went to school in this town years ago and he introduced me to the great pizza and customer service here. The pepperoni calzone was the best I ever had. The bbq pizza was great as well ? I will certainly return when it gets warm again.
Hands down the best barbecue pizza I've ever had. Their BBQ sauce is a perfect mix of smoky sweetness...so yummy! Their Barbecue Rudy had Ham, Sausage, Beef, Red Onions, Provolone and Mozzarella cheese. You can choose the traditional white crust or the wheat crust. In original thickness (cut in triangular slices) or thin (cut in little squares). And, they had 4 sizes (S-10", M-12", L-16", XL-18"). They have over 40 toppings to choose from...with something for everyone. Our favorite is the Barbecue Pizza with the Thin Wheat Crust!
I’ve been a Lawrence local for many years and Rudy’s pizza slices are a consistent favorite when I’m on the go or looking for a low key place to sit and get an affordable meal. The pizza is hot, we’ll made, and filling.
The pizza has the best flavor of any place in NE Kansas. It also has ridiculously affordable prices. Rudy's has remained consistent in flavor and quality over the years as well. My favorite pizza place.
Can’t speak to the order-out experience, but the single-slice situation is underwhelming. Too bready, too long under a heat lamp, and the sausage has a woody texture. Not sure how this place survives with Papa Keno’s / Minsky’s nearby.
I tried to go here a few months ago when they weren't having dine-in, and was bummed, but today made up for that! Live Rudy's and love the Pocket Za! OMGosh!
Wonderful staff, beautiful decor, the music was lovely, it felt so cozy, but the best was the bread, best thing we've tasted all day, hope to come back soon <3
