went way down hill. My whole order was wrong and looked inedible.
nice variety of pizzas and i could swap out an item for something else.
I never write reviews, but Went in to get a quick slice of pepperoni and a beer. Bar Service was very nice, but my slice came out late & overcooked & obviously had sat for a while. I was one of the only costumers present & was prepared for a delicious Papa Kenos slice, usually very good, not today. Think I’ll call my therapist…
Great place to eat if you live in or visit Lawrence. Was sad to hear that they closed but so glad to see they reopened in a new location on Mass St.
This was a pizzeria while I was at tour with a artist which I tired out and it tasted great, New York Pizza!!!!
Service #1. We came in on a frigid windy evening and were seated immediately. A nice booth in the corner by the front window. The place was packed and noisy but the corner booth helped calm my nerves. We were given menus and we decided to share a Full Rack of St Louis Style Ribs. I had a draft beer the waitress recommended and I really enjoyed it. Honeztly he BBQ Ribs were a bit overcooked...charred and pretty dry. But the Frys were awesome. I liked all the different sauces too.
My slice was burnt. The salad I ordered was inedible. Dry lettuce and flimsy plastic fork. Staff is very disorganized. I used to love this place but now I won't go again.
I am not typically the guy who rants and complains about restaurants, however, I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience with Papa Keno's. I ordered three slices of pizza and a side caesar salad for a grand total of $27. The price was steep but I had heard great things about this restaurant that justified the high cost. The pizza was extremely average. Not bad, not great, just incredibly average. I am not writing this review because of pizza. I am writing this review because of the $6.50 side caesar salad I decided to splurge on. I received a salad consisting of lettuce, spinach, croutons, and two cups of caesar dressing. This $6.50 salad must've been sitting in their back refrigerator for at least 72 hours. I was unable to spread the dressing evenly and the greens were soggy. This salad tasted the opposite of fresh. I could've opened my back door and spread caesar dressing throughout my yard and had a similar scenario to mine at Papa Keno's.Once again this review is not over the pizza. This review is a direct result of the below-average salad I had paid nearly $7 for. If you like overpriced pizza, Papa Keno's is perfect for you.Copy and Pasted from Yelp.
Most overrated restaurant in Lawrence......pizza was burnt, half the night staff appeared drunk or on substances and I couldnt hear myself talk or think beacuse the band tool was blasting threw the speakers the entire time I was there. Do yourself a favor and go to Minkskeys or Rudy's down the street..........p.s. only 2 people were wearing face masks
We had a bad time here. Only 1 out of 10 employees wore a mask (the front door says masks required) and the staff was passive agressive. We waited in line for 15 minutes and when we got to the cashier he said it would be 30-45 minutes for the pizza to be ready. That would have been good to know before waiting in line. We chose to order the food and take a seat at the bar, and when I asked if we could order a drink, they said we had to wait in line all over again. Yeesh. They seemed to be better at their other location.
